Since he showed up as the mystery investor, some are under the belief that MVP will only be an on screen character for TNA. However, he will definitely be utilized as an in ring performer, as he has already filmed a match for an upcoming episode of Impact Wrestling.
When he made his Impact Wrestling debut last night, Mike Tenay called MVP by that name, which led to speculations as to whether or not TNA will be using that as a permanent moniker. It now appears that the company will be using that name, as he used it during a promo taped for next week.
On Impact Wrestling, the mystery investor was revealed, and it turned out to be none other than former WWE star MVP. He showed up in a suit on the entrance ramp at the end of the episode with Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards by his side. The segment signified a change in TNA.
MVP, who made his Impact Wrestling debut last night, has been telling fans on Twitter that he has not signed a contract with TNA. He stated that he was on a handshake agreement. Some are speculating that this is just for story line purposes and he is simply protecting the business.

There are still talks that MVP could be making his debut for TNA during the upcoming episode of Impact Wrestling, which is being filmed in Scotland. He continues to deny the rumors on Twitter by stating that he has not even had discussions with Dixie Carter, but many believe he is just trying to protect the surprise.
Since the company likes fresh starts at Wrestlemania, WWE officials have been checking out a couple of the developmental wrestlers to see which ones are ready to be called up to the main roster. This week, they're checking out Tyler Breeze, who worked live events with Justin Gabriel this weekend.
Jimmy Uso and Naomi are now husband and wife. The WWE couple had their wedding in Hawaii this week. The event was attended by Jey Uso, Justin Gabriel and a couple of other wrestlers. The production crew for Total Divas was there as well, filming footage to be shown on an episode next season.
Apparently, WWE has informed some of the performers backstage already about their status for the upcoming Royal Rumble match, as Justin Gabriel has revealed to fans through Twitter that he will not be working the big pay per view this year.
Justin Gabriel has been working as an in ring trainer this week, as WWE has him working with Alexander Rusev during the last few live events. Management wanted a better look at the NXT developmental wrestler to see if he is ready to be called up to the main roster.
While he has not ruled out a return to WWE some day, former Intercontinental Champion MVP is telling people that he will not be doing that at the upcoming Royal Rumble, a pay per view that is known for surprise returns.
MVP competed in the NAGA (North American Grappling Association) tournament in Dallas recently. While he's still open to a return to wrestling, the former WWE star has been doing a lot of mixed martial arts training over the last year.
