One of the big reasons why John Cena is branching out away from WWE is because he wants to draw in new fans to professional wrestling. He feels that he has already drawn in as much of an audience as possible through traditional methods. Cena now wants to draw in fans by doing movies and television shows. The former world heavyweight champion still has no plans of leaving permanently.

Batista jabs WWE

During an interview with the Latin Post, Batista was asked about how it felt to work on big movie projects. He decided to take a jab at WWE in his response. The former world heavyweight champion stated that he was used to working in an environment that was not organized, so it made it easier to transition over to movies. Since finding success in Hollywood, he doesn't feel the need to hold back on how he feels about wrestling.

Only certain markets will be showing the film. That is still considered a huge victory, as independent films have a hard time getting aired in theaters that normally prefer movies from the big studios.

It turned out to be another character instead, even though Punk did admit that he really wanted to write one for the Punisher. The former world heavyweight champion revealed that the character that Marvel gave him was Drax the Destroyer, which interestingly enough is portrayed by Batista in Guardians of the Galaxy movies.
