Wrestling Revealed

CM Punk in Ninja Turtles

One of the more interesting things that were revealed by CM Punk during his convention appearance over the weekend was the fact that he has already auditioned for a role in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. He refused to reveal which character he was trying out for, however. Punk wants to add movie star to his resume that already includes professional wrestler, mixed martial arts fighter and comic book writer.

Dwayne Johnson makes history

Not that his resume was lackluster in the first place, but Dwayne Johnson has accomplishment to add to it. He can now tell the world that he was a star in a movie that is one of the five highest grossing films of all time. Despite being in theaters for several days now, Furious 7 still managed to bring in another $18 million this weekend, which brings the total up to $1.3 billion. Numbers like that should open up a lot more doors for the WWE legend.

CM Punk new comic

Rumors broke over the weekend that CM Punk was going to be writing a new comic book on the Punisher. It turned out to be another character instead, even though Punk did admit that he really wanted to write one for the Punisher. The former world heavyweight champion revealed that the character that Marvel gave him was Drax the Destroyer, which interestingly enough is portrayed by Batista in Guardians of the Galaxy movies.

Bella Twins turning face

To prepare fans for the divas match at Extreme Rules, WWE has been utilizing Nikki Bella and Brie Bella as baby faces on television. However, as of right now, management is not committed to doing a full fledged face turn. The reason for that is because they still want Paige to receive her shot at the title when she gets back from filming a movie with Miz. The goal is for her to be the one to remove the belt from Nikki. Naomi is considered a filler for now.

Dwayne Johnson wrestling again

Chris Jericho has already done it. Batista is thinking about doing it. Now, all eyes are on Dwayne Johnson to see if he would be interested in returning to WWE to work a schedule where you only do live events. The answer to that is rather disappointing if you're a big fan. Johnson simply does not have the time to do it because of all the business projects that he has going on at once. There is very little time in between shooting movies as well.

Nikki Bella turning face

Since Paige might not be available because she is filming a movie and Naomi just did a heel turn, WWE is looking into the possibility of Nikki Bella working as a baby face when she defends the belt against the latter at Extreme Rules on Sunday night. They even tested out the audience reaction at a live event during the tour of Europe last week. The face turn might not necessarily be a full time thing, however, as management likes the Bella Twins as is.
