Wade Barrett

Wayne Rooney helps WWE

Whenever there are celebrities involved with professional wrestling, it is usually because of the potential mainstream media attention that they can attract. That proved to be the case for WWE this week when they had international soccer superstar Wayne Rooney doing a segment where he slapped Wade Barrett on Monday Night Raw. It drew the attention of ESPN, New York Daily News, CBS Sports, Sky News and many others.

Vince McMahon

Smackdown lowest rating ever

Some troubling news for Vince McMahon. Viewership for Smackdown continues to drop at a rapid pace, and the latest episode was the lowest rated yet. Fewer than 2 million people watched the show this week. The internet wrestling community has slowly lost interest in the product because they feel that is simply a recap show for Monday Night Raw. Nothing significant really happens all that often on the secondary show.

Sheamus cleared to wrestle

WWE received some very good news last night when Sheamus showed up at the arena. The medical staff was able to clear him of a concussion. He had been having symptoms since the last episode of Monday Night Raw. That enabled the creative department to include him in the final segment with Randy Orton and Seth Rollins, which possibly sets up a world heavyweight championship match between the three at Summerslam.

Brodus Clay

Brodus Clay bashes John Cena

Earlier this month, John Cena mentioned the Funkasaurus gimmick during an episode of Monday Night Raw. Brodus Clay was told of that, and he fired back a bit. He stated that the only difference between Cena and PN News is that Cena was given a push. In case you aren't aware, News was a lower card performer in WCW that had a white rapper gimmick during the early 1990s.

Brock Lesnar

Monday Night Raw viewership

Some good news for WWE. Viewership for Monday Night Raw is back at 4 million this week. Many are attributing that to the return of Brock Lesnar, which was widely mentioned through social media by the internet wrestling community. A few are giving credit to Machine Gun Kelly, who is a mainstream name.

Kevin Owens to WWE

When he recently showed up on Monday Night Raw, many were under the assumption that this was just a cameo stint for Kevin Owens. However, news has now surfaced that it is going to be a permanent thing. The heavyweight champion has apparently been informed by the front office that he will be moving to the main roster. A new contract has reportedly been signed. Owens will still make NXT appearances to close up any loose ends first.

Randy Orton

Monday Night Raw edited

Some rather interesting news are coming out of the latest episode of Monday Night Raw. Since it was taped in London, there was a delay in the airing in the United States. WWE took that opportunity to edit up some things to their favor. They made sure to tone down the huge reaction that Antonio Cesaro received from the fans. They used that pop and made it seem like it was Randy Orton that the audience was going wild for.

Vince McMahon

Monday Night Raw viewers

WWE discovered some disturbing news when they checked the ratings for Monday Night Raw this week. The show lost more than 1.5 million viewers in the span of seven days. The company has trouble keeping people interested after Wrestlemania. This does not sit well with Vince McMahon. A lot of wrestling fans opted to watch the season finale of Better Call Saul and the NCAA Championship game between Duke and Wisconsin.

Randy Orton

WWE fans leaving

In a rather interesting bit of news, a lot of fans in attendance at Monday Night Raw were said to have left before the main event even started. That is peculiar because WWE was trying to determine a number one contender for their world heavyweight championship. Apparently, a lot of these fans were already able to predict that Randy Orton was going to be the one to challenge Seth Rollins at Extreme Rules, so they walked out.

New Day

New Day heel turn

Some good news if you're a fan of the New Day. Since management could not get them over as baby faces, the plan now is to turn them into heel. As seen on Monday Night Raw, Xavier Woods and Big E Langston were a lot more aggressive in the ring than normal. They came close to cheating on a couple of occasions. The losses and boos will eventually cause them to go evil. This would mark the first heel turn for Kofi Kingston since joining WWE.
