When the mainstream media picked up on the controversial Reid Flair story line that was done on Monday Night Raw, WWE was quick to react by stating that Charlotte was the one that pushed for her deceased brother to be thrown into the mix. However, close observers do not believe what management is trying to say, as Charlotte was obviously having a hard time trying to get through the promo.

That proved to be the case for WWE this week when they had international soccer superstar Wayne Rooney doing a segment where he slapped Wade Barrett on Monday Night Raw. It drew the attention of ESPN, New York Daily News, CBS Sports, Sky News and many others.

Some good news for WWE. Viewership for Monday Night Raw is back at 4 million this week. Many are attributing that to the return of Brock Lesnar, which was widely mentioned through social media by the internet wrestling community. A few are giving credit to Machine Gun Kelly, who is a mainstream name.

The move to bring in Jon Stewart for a guest appearance on Monday Night Raw proved to be a success all around. WWE received plenty of mainstream media attention from the appearance. Just about every major outlet in the country covered his involvement with Seth Rollins. From a fan's perspective, the move was also a success because Stewart handled himself extremely well. It was easy to see that he was a big fan of wrestling.

Not that she was next in line to be called up to the main roster by WWE or anything, but it looks like Zahra Schreiber is going to have to wait a bit before she can start working on Monday Night Raw and Smackdown. The belief is that management needs the controversy to fade away before they would consider putting her in front of the mainstream media again. The fact that Zahra can be seen naked might not sit too well with advertisers.

Something that wrestling fans have been waiting years for, might finally be happening on Monday Night Raw tonight. Reports have surfaced that WWE will announce that Randy Savage is being inducted into their hall of fame during Wrestlemania weekend. Even mainstream sites such as TMZ have picked up on the story. As expected, the Macho Man will reportedly be the headline inductee, even though he is no longer alive to accept the honor.
