JoJo Offerman
In WWE, sometimes a good personality can help to combat backstage politics. JoJo Offerman appears to be doing that right now, as it has been rumored that management has been praising her for maintaining a good attitude and continuing to work hard down in developmental. Some felt that she would be resentful towards WWE for removing her from the main roster and from the Total Divas cast.

Bob Holly
"They try to make that hall of fame leigtimate, but if you'll notice, to me, it's politically driven. A dead giveaway is Hunter wanting all of his little buddies, his little circle first. He's taken care of all of them." - Bob Holly suggesting that backstage politics plays a big part in the WWE Hall of Fame

Brock Lesnar
"Here's a guy that has a huge ego. He has a hard time with putting anybody over and let alone outside the business when someone like Brock Lesnar would have to hurt him. His ego wouldn't let him walk around in a sling. He wants people to know it's entertainment unless he's the one doing it then he wants you to walk around in a leg cast. This is what I see the problem is and I've been pretty critical about it. You've got somebody in that position that's got too big of an ego to run a company like that. Triple H goes to extreme lengths to look good, to be big and cut and make sure he's on the cover of the muscle magazine and make sure he's in fitness things. He's the guy who's putting himself in the forefront. For anybody to run a company like the WWE, you can't be that guy. You've got too much talent out there for you to put yourself out there in front of them." - Ken Shamrock bashing HHH for backstage politics

Lacey Von Erich
"If you never want to have a family or a wife or time to yourself, and you like being verbally and mentally abused, then you should [get into wrestling]. I say go for it. [That abuse comes more from] the locker room. Definitely the locker room. TNA is very different than WWE. WWE was very political. I wasn't in there yet. They were like, 'You're a Von Erich. You better be amazing at wrestling,' and things like that. And I wasn't. I'm more of an actress than I am a wrestler. I'd rather play a character than get hurt on the mat. That's what I'm better at. I'm better at acting. That's what I wanted to do. Vince called me. He's the one that got me into this. He's the one asked me, 'Do you want to be a wrestler? Try to be a Diva?' He brought me out and and I signed the contract that night and went into training. I wasn't expecting it to come as much. It really blew up and they expected so much of me, but then TNA called and they really embraced me as like a family member." - Lacey Von Erich talking about backstage politics in WWE

JBL
"There is a lot of truth to that, absolutely. There were guys that came there from other organizations that perhaps they thought they should just skip everybody else and skip right to the top and have things right away the way they wanted. I mean, hey, there are rules and things that you have to abide by as far as this business goes. and you have to respect those. But, when you don't respect those, then hey, we have got a problem. So, yes, we had a lot of guys who came in with that attitude, and John and I would have to be called upon to let them know 'hey, that is not how it works here'." - Ron Simmons on how he and JBL handled backstage politics in WWE

Kofi Kingston
"People always say, 'Oh, there haven't been many black champions,' but on the other hand, there are a whole lot of white people that never won a belt either. These days, I think it's less of a racial thing. I honestly believe that if you are able to entertain and interact with the crowd, it doesn't matter what ethnicity you may be. WWE will reward you." - Kofi Kingston discusses racism and backstage politics

Davey Richards
"We're not talking. We're not on good terms. I have no respect for them whatsoever. I strongly dislike management there like with the exception of Jeff Jones who is a great guy. But the booker (Hunter Johnson) is completely inadequate at his job and he got his job more for being spineless than being talented. And the owner (Joe Koff) is even worse, he could care less about wrestling. He just wants to do television. To me, it's just not something I agree with but I'm not there anymore and they do their own thing. And for the talent and the fans I wish them nothing but the best of luck. That company is in business not because of stellar booking and stellar management. They're in business still because they'they're spineless. The talent there is phenomenal. They're top notch and great. But the management from the booker to the owner it's definitely shut up and do what you're told and drink the Kool-aid. I made a joke when I was there I called it Jim Jones wrestling. Just shut up and drink the Kool-aid and do your job. In private, people are going this sucks this sucks this sucks and I'm the one who came out and said this is terrible. I worked for that company and gave them everything I had for seven years. I think I earned my right to an opinion. Once that got out, it was like you're going against the stream? You're not here to have an opinion, just shut up and do your job and get your paycheck. I'm sure you can find someone else to do that for a lot less money than what you're paying me so I'm just going to go about my way. Best decision I ever made and I have no desire to go back, ever." - Davey Richards talks about the backstage politics in ROH

John Cena
"He's a workhorse. He does incredible things for the company and he busts his butt. Outside the ring, I can't stand the guy. He's not a nice guy, he holds talent down. He steals ideas. He's a prick." - Tyler Reks discusses backstage politics with John Cena when he was in WWE
February 26, 2014
Kamala
"Vince McMahon has certain people that he will pay. If you get along with Vince, do him sexual favors, you'll get along good with him. But if you just (do your job and) mind your own business, then he doesn't like you for some reason. There was a lot of men with men in those days and even men with boys. I know a lot of guys that (failed drug tests) and it was documented that they passed, and I know what they did." - Kamala on backstage politics in WWE

Dusty Rhodes
"It was strictly politics. Dusty Rhodes was the booker and he was against it. You know, what are you going to do. He didn't book me anywhere during the whole time I had the belt until the rematch because Dusty Rhodes was a very, very jealous guy when it came to guys getting over. He was the wrong guy to be a booker. He is the one who put Jim Crockett out of business. He is the reason Jim Crockett had to sell and was losing his butt. It was the same thing with the Rock and Roll Express. He couldn't stand the Rock and Roll Express getting over like rock stars. I mean, girls would go crazy. They had to have some protection for the Rock and Roll Express, the girls would attack them, just like rock stars, it was unbelievable." - Ronnie Garvin discusses backstage politics and Dusty Rhodes

Linda McMahon
While she has been relatively quiet as of late, Linda McMahon is still making moves in the world of politics. The former WWE CEO is being honored this month with the Prescott Bush Award, which is viewed as the highest honor that is bestowed by the Connecticut Republican Party. Despite the launch of the WWE Network, Linda is still keeping her distance from the company.
February 10, 2014
Carlito
Those hoping to see Carlito making his return to the company some day are going to be quite disappointed, as it seems like he has very little interest in returning to WWE. The former US champion has been booked rather frequently on the independent wrestling circuit, and he reportedly is not interested in returning to the backstage politics that takes place in WWE.

Daniel Bryan

"Hey WWE I’m not trying to be rude but the crowd seems to really want Daniel Bryan. Juuuuuuust MAFAKIN Saying!! Geez. Sadly WWE is still run by 'Muscle Marks.' It is what it is folks."

- Shane Helms on backstage politics in WWE

Armando Estrada

"You're not allowed to get over in WWE unless they want you to. If you do, you can and will be punished. Has happened to many over the years."

Bret Hart

"Toronto deserves Rob Ford, they put him in office. Toronto deserves everything it gets. Up in Calgary we've got a more prestigious mayor [Naheed Nenshi]. I think we've got the best mayor in North America."

Dolph Ziggler
WWE has announced that Dolph Ziggler will be challenging the Miz at Summerslam 2014 for the Intercontinental Championship. While his popularity remains pretty strong, this is not a push for Ziggler. Management simply needed a mid card baby face to put over Miz. A title change is not expected to take place, as the company wants to see how far this Hollywood character can go.
August 5, 2014
Sheamus
There are still plans being discussed backstage in WWE to unify the United States Heavyweight Championship and the Intercontinental Championship in the near future. If management decides to go through with it, then Miz is the more likely candidate to hold the unified belt because he has a lot more momentum than Sheamus at this point in time.

Maryse Ouellet
Chris Jericho and Fozzy performed a concert at the world famous Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood last night. He was not the only WWE performer in the building. Miz and his wife Maryse Ouellet, a former diva, were in attendance as guests of Jericho. The concert was just a one time thing, and Jericho is expected to be back on the road with WWE soon.
July 25, 2014
Sheamus
At WWE Battleground 2014, Miz won the battle royal to become the new Intercontinental Champion. Sheamus is the reigning United States Heavyweight Champion. The two of them are feuding. That has led to rumors of a title unification match taking place at Summerslam 2014. The belief is that WWE really wants to stack up this pay per view to build momentum for the upcoming subscription rush for the WWE Network.
July 21, 2014
Jerry Lawler
While he receives a bad rap from a lot of fans due to WWE giving him a heavyweight championship run a couple of years back, Miz is actually very much a student of the game. He has remained motivated despite not being given a push in a while. Miz has also been studying legendary actor Andy Kaufman, who will forever have a place in wrestling history thanks to his memorable story line with Jerry Lawler during the 1980s, so that he can improve his gimmick and character.
July 19, 2014
Chris Jericho
It looks like WWE has changed their minds and will not be doing a quick feud between Miz and Chris Jericho after all. The former world champions were penciled for a brief program together, and the seeds were even planted when both made their returns simultaneously on Monday Night Raw a couple of weeks ago. Miz is now being paired up with Sheamus, while Jericho was moved immediately into a feud with Bray Wyatt.

Miz
Up until today, it was a bit of a mystery as to when Ric Flair would be making his television return for WWE. Well, that puzzle has now been solved. The former world heavyweight champion is officially scheduled to make appearances on the next episodes of Monday Night Raw and Smackdown. No word yet on what WWE will have him doing, but there have been rumors of a reunion with the Miz floating around over the last couple of months.
July 9, 2014
Miz
Last week, Miz made his long rumored return to Monday Night Raw. However, he came back to WWE alone. Ric Flair was not by his side as expected. The legendary performer is still expected to make his television return soon, but it looks like he might not be paired up with Miz after all. Flair had petitioned the company to work with Dolph Ziggler, but WWE went in a different direction by pairing him up with Summer Rae instead.
July 5, 2014
Miz
For quite a few weeks now, there have been rumors of Miz making his television return to Monday Night Raw. Some speculations have Ric Flair joining him on that return. With Money in the Bank 2014 in the books now, those rumors are heating up again. Some believe that tonight will be the night when they finally come back and start the push for Miz.
June 30, 2014
Miz
While it has yet to reach television, the heel turn for the Miz has been going for a couple of weeks now at WWE live events. It also appears that he will be given a new gimmick to work with upon his return to Monday Night Raw and Smackdown. Miz has been testing out a new heel persona, where he plays a cocky movie star. It's a play on real life, as the former WWE champion recently completed a new film.
June 22, 2014
Miz
There were a lot of rumors over the weekend that Miz was going to be making his return to WWE on this week's episode of Monday Night Raw. However, that never happened. Word going around now is that management purposely decided to delay the return since the next episode will be taking place in his hometown of Cleveland. The return is expected to happen then.
June 11, 2014
Ric Flair
The long rumored return of Ric Flair is reportedly close to happening, as word coming out of WWE is that the former world heavyweight champion has passed the medical tests that the company requires before taking a performer on the road full time. The strong rumors are that he will be paired up with the Miz again, despite asking WWE to put him with Dolph Ziggler.
June 10, 2014
Miz
Now that he is done filming his movie, the Miz is expected to be back on Monday Night Raw this week. The former WWE champion jumped back on the road over the weekend and worked a live event match against Sheamus. The belief is that he was warming up for the return tonight. Rumors have been floating around that Miz will also be doing a heel turn upon his return.
June 9, 2014
Miz
There have been sparse rumors over the last year that WWE was going to do a heel turn with the Miz, and it looks like that might be happening soon. While working a live event in Wisconsin over the weekend, Miz did a match against Sheamus. The former world heavyweight champion even cut a heel promo, which is viewed by many as practice before doing it on television.
June 8, 2014
Miz
Following a botched heel turn, it looks like WWE might be attempting the move again with Sheamus. The United States Heavyweight Champion is rumored to be moving into a feud with the returning Miz after his Payback 2014 match against Antonio Cesaro. Since Miz is still a baby face, there is a very good chance that WWE will try to do the heel turn with Sheamus again.
May 30, 2014
Fandango
Now that Summer Rae has completed the filming of Marine 4 with the Miz, she will be returning to Monday Night Raw and Smackdown very soon. Upon her return to television, expect her to be utilized as a baby face in a feud against Layla El and Fandango. WWE could pair her up with a male performer, such as Dolph Ziggler, to even the odds in the feud.
May 15, 2014
Summer Rae
The wait is almost over for the handful of Miz fans, as the former WWE champion is set to make his return this week. Filming for the Marine 4, which stars Miz and WWE diva Summer Rae, is close to completion. There won't be much time for Miz to catch his breath, as he will immediately jump on a plane and head to Europe with the other WWE stars.
May 12, 2014
Summer Rae
In case you're wondering why Summer Rae has not been seen on Monday Night Raw and Smackdown recently, it's because she is currently off doing a sequel to the Marines movies, which also stars the Miz. News coming out of the set is that the WWE diva is actually doing some of her own stunts in the movie, which has impressed the production crew.
May 2, 2014
Miz
Rumors were floating around earlier today about Alex Riley being one of the many performers who were released by WWE. The former on screen sidekick of the Miz posted a vague message on Twitter, which sparked the speculations. The status update has since been deleted, so that has left many to wonder about Riley and his status in WWE.
May 1, 2014
Fandango
One of the big reasons why WWE put Layla El with Fandango is because Summer Rae is taking a couple of weeks off of television to film a sequel to the Marine with the Miz. WWE wanted to keep Fandango on television, but they did not feel that his act would be nearly as popular without a female companion. Thus, Layla was chosen to take over the role.
