Minoru Tanaka had a brief stint in TNA, where the Japanese wrestler was a part of Team Japan, a story line that the company ran in 2006. He worked a tag team match on Impact Wrestling and also worked a six man tag team match at TNA Lockdown.
While details have yet to emerge from backstage, it does appear that the story line between Dixie Carter and the new baby face investory will be a focal point on Impact Wrestling for much of 2014. Some are even saying that it will stretch to Bound For Glory, which is taking place in October.
Kurt Angle tore his knee cartilage during his match against Bobby Roode at Bound For Glory.
After almost an entire decade working for the company, Minoru Tanaka shocked the wrestling world by opting to leave New Japan. The two sides simply were not able to come to terms on a brand new contract. There are talks that Tanaka could be headed to All Japan soon.
