While it is still pretty early on, it appears that the return on investment for Josh Mathews has been a rather good one for TNA. He is doing a tremendous job of being a one man commentating team after the departure of Taz. The company might have been in a bind had it just been Mike Tenay out there by himself. While he is one of the most knowledgeable guys to ever do the job, Tenay is a guy that works much better when there is a color commentator.

While he would never publicly acknowledge his interest until he is contractually able to do so, the belief is that Mike Tenay would be very interested in joining Jeff Jarrett in GFW. The promotion still needs a lead commentator for when they start doing televised events. Some are under the belief that Tenay is not completely happy in TNA because he is now a producer instead of a commentator. Tenay was replaced by Josh Mathews this year.

While an extremely motivated Jeff Jarrett continues to work on getting a television deal for his new promotion, there have been a ton of speculations as to the details of GFW. Rumors surfaced recently that the voice of the promotion will be a very familiar one to longtime wrestling fans. It is being said that Jarrett is hoping to bring together Jim Ross and Mike Tenay as his broadcasting team. He tried teaming them up for New Japan in January.

When TNA brought Josh Mathews in to replace Mike Tenay, they were hoping that a younger commentator could breathe some new life into Impact Wrestling as they make their way to Destination America. That is exactly what he accomplished. Management is said to be quite pleased with how the move has worked out. Mathews has done a solid job, and the show does have a fresh feeling after years of Tenay.

Another announcement has been made by TNA. Dixie Carter has revealed that they are going to be having a third television show on Destination America. Impact Wrestling will air every Friday night. On Saturday morning, there will be a show hosted by Mike Tenay, where he will more than likely talk about the state of the company. Afterwards, there will be a greatest hits show, featuring some of the biggest stars from the past.

One of the worst kept secrets in the business over the last couple of weeks was the fact that Josh Mathews would be taking over as the voice of Impact Wrestling for Mike Tenay when TNA shifts their brand over to Destination America. Well, things have now been made official, as a press release was issued earlier today. Mathews basically thanked the company for the opportunity, and he said it was an honor to replace a legend like Tenay.

It looks like Dixie Carter has changed her mind about wanting to be associated with Jim Ross. It was rumored earlier than the TNA president had denied Ross the opportunity to interview her on his podcast show. A lot of ears are going to be on this particular episode, since many are wondering if Ross will be asking Carter about the situation with Jeff Jarrett being denied the opportunity to hire Mike Tenay to be a commentator at the GFW pay per view.

Apparently, Jim Ross is not very popular with the folks in TNA. First, the company rejects him when he tried to sign Mike Tenay to be his commentating partner at the first GFW pay per view in Japan next month. Now, the legendary commentator has been rejected by Dixie Carter, who declined to do a podcast interview with Ross. The belief is that Carter did not want to be placed in a situation, where she would be asked about rejecting the Tenay deal.

Once Mike Tenay was forced to turn down their offer because TNA officials reportedly felt that it was a conflict of interest, Jeff Jarrett looked at other candidates to join Jim Ross during the first GFW pay per view taking place in Japan next month. Several candidates were interviewed, and one of which really stood out above the rest. Kevin Nash was said to have been in discussion for the commentating job, but his focus right now is on Hollywood.
