The former world heavyweight champion also stated that AJ was the person that paved the way for performers like Paige to get a chance with the company.

In a heartfelt letter on his social media account, Mick Foley expressed to fans on his concerns about the Royal Rumble slowly dying. The legendary performer stated that the pay per view is just starting to feel like a secondary show. He stated that WWE is making the same mistake with this show as they did with the Survivor Series, a formerly great gimmick event that has become basically just another show on the calendar.

A rather amusing controversy involving Mick Foley has gone viral. He was in Philadelphia for a chicken wing eating competition. Foley was caught cheating when someone spotted him throwing uneaten wings into his fanny pack. An ejection actually took place. TMZ picked up on the story and said that the hall of fame wrestler had disgraced himself. Other media outlets picked up on the story. In case you're not aware, this was all in fun and not serious.

However, the WWE legend will not be around as much for the next couple of months. That, of course, will lead to speculations by the internet wrestling community. Foley decided to curb some of the speculation by revealing that he is simply taking time off to focus on educating his two youngest children.

Kevin Nash cancels appearance

Maryland Championship Wrestling was more than happy to have Kevin Nash at their live event this weekend, even after he was arrested for battery and suspended almost immediately by WWE. However, the former world heavyweight champion opted to cancel out of the appearance at the last minute, citing some sort of medical emergency involving his son. The promotion was able to replace him with Mick Foley, thus keeping their fan base pleased.
