Apparently, things have gone downhill quite a bit for Nicole Bass since she last worked for WWE. She was arrested on Tuesday for shoplifting more than $1000 of merchandise from a store in Queens. While the items stolen have not been revealed at this moment, reports are saying that there was 160 items that was found in her purse.

For years, WWE decided to neglect Samoa Joe every time that he was a free agent. Apparently, that was a mistake. Now that the former world heavyweight champion has been signed to a developmental deal, he was able to impress management is a short period of time. The front office was so impressed with his work, the buzz he created and his merchandise sales that they decided to upgrade him to a full time deal instead.

WWE signs Stevie Ray

It looks like WWE has finally decided to sign the other half of Harlem Heat. However, do not expect Stevie Ray to be donning the wrestling gear anytime soon. He announced that he has now signed a legends contract. That means that the company can use his likeness while also booking Stevie for a couple of appearances a year. The belief is that this might lead to a DVD or other merchandise for the former world tag team champions.

As a sign of how bad the situation is for Daniel Bryan, reports have now surfaced that WWE has discussed internally a new backstage role that he could fill. Management wants to keep him around because he is still popular. Plus, they still have upcoming merchandise for him that needs to be promoted. There are talks of Bryan being an on screen character, but there is no confirmation that he would be interested in such a role.

There are people backstage in WWE that believe that Bayley can be a tremendous asset to the main roster in the near future. The thinking is that she will be a fan favorite of the younger demographic because of how playful her character is. That might enable her to sell toys and other merchandise for the company, which is a trait that the front office loves. Since she is also gorgeous, she should be able to attract older men as well.

A lot of information gets released when a big lawsuit is taking place. Since he is suing WWE for damages that were done to him while he was working for them, we now now how much Big Vito was making. His salary for the year was $75,000, which should come as a shock to fans who assume that wrestlers are paid a whole lot more than that. He was also given a percentage of merchandise sold, which really amounted to very little.

Aside from his tremendous performances thus far, one of the big reasons why WWE has opted to push Finn Balor is because he has been able to move merchandise better than most of the guys on the NXT roster. The feeling is that they can increase those numbers by putting him in more of a featured role. That is why he is challenging Kevin Owens, another top merchandise mover in developmental, for the heavyweight championship.

Not only is there more interest from the internet wrestling community, but ticket sales at NXT live events have been doing better than usual since Owens was booked in main event matches against Finn Balor during the tour. Owens is also reportedly moving a good amount of merchandise, so a promotion to the main roster is expected.

Earlier in the year, AJ Lee sparked quite the controversy when she called out Stephanie McMahon about how WWE was treating the divas not as equally as the male performers. During a recent interview with Mark Madden, the former Divas Champion appeared to ease back quite a bit on her claims. AJ stated that the girls were paid fairly, and she also noted how merchandise percentage is the same for the girls as it is for the guys.

Another interesting backstage story in WWE has been told by Court Bauer, a former writer for the company. He stated that management purposely made it where CM Punk could never sell more merchandise than John Cena. Whenever the number for Punk merchandise would rise, the company would then produce more products for Cena. They also shipped out a lot more Cena merchandise to the live events to make sure Punk did not beat him.
