When asked about his contract with TNA, Matt Hardy did confirm that it is expiring in February. He was very complimentary of the promotion and stated that he has more creative power backstage. Hardy is dedicated to helping the brand grow, as he feels that it is good for the industry to have multiple companies doing well. Shortly after 2016 begins, Matt Hardy will become a free agent again. His contract with TNA is expiring soon. The former United States Heavyweight Champion enjoys working for the promotion, and the company likes having him around. A contract extension would not be shocking by any means. However, none of that is confirmed at the moment because Hardy has not revealed his plans for the future.

Since she was involved in an online dispute with someone that works backstage in the company, the belief is that Reby Sky is black listed from being signed to a contract. A rather interesting omission from the upcoming tag team championship tournament in TNA is Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy. As of right now, the brothers have not been officially announced as entrants. From what we know, both guys are under contract to the promotion for at least another year, so that can be ruled out as a factor for their absence. Management could also be saving their announcement to build up the anticipation from the audience.

John Gaburick has been a busy fellow this week. In addition to locking down Angelina Love to a contract, the TNA executive has also secured the use of Matt Hardy for at least another year. The company likes having Hardy around because his name value is still strong after years of being one of the more popular and profitable performers for WWE. Having him around also helps the front office secure television and advertising deals.

The tag team division in TNA should be more than solid for the next year, as the company has just announced that they have signed new contracts with the American Wolves. Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards are expected to be the centerpiece of the division. Management was really impressed with their performance over the last year, and they rewarded them with memorable feuds against Bully Ray, Devon, Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy.
