Rumors have surfaced that there are those within WWE that are pushing management to set up a huge match between Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania. The former is set to be a free agent soon and has already stated that he is not in a rush to return to TNA. The latter needs a top level opponent to work against because his feud with the Undertaker has ran its course.

The wait might almost be over. Rumors are floating around that UFC officials have started looking at potential opponents for CM Punk. They feel that he has advanced far enough in his training for them to do that now. Of course, it is not a simple process, as the matchmakers still need to factor in the marketing side of seeing the debut match of a former WWE Heavyweight Champion. An announcement is expected soon.

Rumors have it that one of the ideas being floated around backstage in WWE is for Samoa Joe and Finn Balor to successfully win the Dusty Rhodes memorial tournament. That would then lead to Joe somehow challenging Balor for the NXT Championship in a friendly feud. That particular match would more than likely be the biggest draw for the developmental promotion at this point in time.

Since WWE treats the live event at Madison Square Garden as a pay per view, rumors surfaced that management had signed Jushin Liger to work the show. While he has indeed signed on to work more dates for the promotion, he will not be in New York City that night. As of right now, WWE has Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose booked in a ladder match for the world heavyweight championship at Money in the Bank. That might be changing. Rumors are floating around that management is throwing around the idea of having Roman Reigns winning the MITB and cashing it in immediately. That is why the creative department has been emphasizing the friendship between Reigns and Ambrose so much lately.

Rumors have surfaced that we could be seeing the Wyatt Family reunion take place at Payback tonight. WWE set up the story with Luke Harper and Erick Rowan over the last couple of weeks. Neither guy has a match on the pay per view, so this could be how they get utilized. A reunion would give Bray Wyatt more momentum, especially since fans have been wanting the trio back together. It also protects Ryback, who will likely take the loss tonight.
