However, the feeling backstage is that Del Rio is assured a spot at Wrestlemania 30 to draw in the Spanish media.
It is now being said that Vince McMahon made an appearance in the arena after the Survivor Series went off the air because he wanted to test the audience to see how they would react to his upcoming return.

Randy Orton predictably defeated the Big Show to retain the WWE Heavyweight Championship at the Survivor Series. He was able to hit the RKO after Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Kane provided the distraction by coming out to the ramp.
After a match filled with crowd pleasing signature spots, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan picked up the win over Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. Bryan blasted Rowan with the running knee, as Punk pinned Harper after the Go 2 Sleep finisher.
Many were predicting John Cena to successfully defend the World title against Alberto Del Rio at Survivor Series, and WWE did not stray from that. Cena dodged the arm breaker and hit the Attitude Adjustment for the pin fall victory.
While WWE wants to rush the Roman Reigns push, it does not appear that his rumored replacement, Mason Ryan, will be showing up before Wrestlemania 30. The split may still take place before the big event, but the new addition will be saved for afterwards.
One of the ideas being discussed backstage in WWE right now is to have Mason Ryan joining Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins in the Shield whenever the creative department finally decides to split Roman Reigns from the group.
With WWE planning on putting more focus on the tag team division in 2014, there's a very good chance that Mason Ryan could finally be brought back up to the main roster again. He's currently teaming with Jason Jordan in NXT.
WWE has decided to put Shaul Guerrero, the daughter of Eddie Guerrero and Vickie Guerrero, with Mason Ryan and Jason Jordan as their manager down in NXT.
