When it was announced that she was changing her official title within the company, there were some speculations that Stephanie McMahon was still going to be heavily involved in the creative department in WWE, but it now appears that she truly has embraced her new role and is rarely involved with the writing for Monday Night Raw and Smackdown.
While there are still plans by WWE to push him, Big E Langston has essentially been neglected by the creative department over the last couple of weeks because the writers simply have not come up with anything for his character to do with Mark Henry being off television.
Rumor has it that Bray Wyatt has earned the trust of WWE officials backstage to the point where he is now being allowed to write his own promos. He still needs approval from the creative department before using them on Monday Night Raw and Smackdown, though.
One of the notable absences from Monday Night Raw this week was CM Punk. Since things were chaotic with the creative department, the script for the show was heavily edited at the last minute. Punk was initially supposed to work a qualifying match for Elimination Chamber 2014.
Internally, the match between Dolph Ziggler and Miz on Monday Night Raw was viewed as a filler match. The creative department simply added the Cleveland theme, in hopes of getting a little reaction from the live audience. WWE has no plans of making this program a big deal.
That big push for Wade Barrett isn't likely to take place any time soon. The feeling is that WWE is giving him television time each week, in order to fill up the three hours of Monday Night Raw. Plus, his segments are said to amuse the script writers in the creative department.
Since his wedding to Maryse Ouellet is taking place later on this month, there is a very good chance that the current story line for the Miz is a way to write him off of television. Though he hasn't been penciled in for a match at Wrestlemania 30 yet, he's expected to return by then.
Miz and Maryse Ouellet are really trying to build a life together. Aside from getting married in the Bahamas in February, the couple also has been looking for a house to purchase. Since Miz has been on the road with WWE, his fiancee has been in charge of finding them a new home.
When WWE previously asked her about a return to the company, Maryse Ouellet turned them down, as she was busy working on some projects and preparing for her wedding with the Miz. The belief, though, is that the company will try to offer her a contract again after the wedding in February.
Since the two of them have traveled all over the world for WWE, Miz and Maryse wanted an exotic location for their upcoming wedding. It has now been revealed that the couple has chosen the Bahamas as the place to share their vows next month.
Maryse Ouellet held the WWE Divas Championship for 216 days straight, but she is about to be surpassed on that list by AJ Lee, who has now held the belt for 212 days straight. No word yet on whether or not WWE will make a big storyline out of that.
