While it is not a secret that Mark Henry intends to retire pretty soon, it does come as a bit of a surprise that he is telling the media that he wants his final match to be at Wrestlemania, which makes it seem like he is retiring in a couple of weeks. WWE does want Henry to stick around backstage after he is done as an in ring performer. Mark hasn't really had a feud in quite some time.

In a rather interesting tidbit, Mark Henry revealed that he was ready to retire as an in ring performer back in 2013. The former world heavyweight champion was more than willing to remain with WWE in a backstage role. However, when he went to the headquarters and spoke with Vince McMahon, he was somehow convinced to sign another multiple year deal by the CEO.

When asked about his upcoming retirement, Mark Henry revealed an interesting choice to be the person that ends his career. The longtime WWE star said that he would not be opposed to the fans choosing how he ends his tenure with the company, but he really would like for someone like Daniel Bryan to be the person to do the honor. Henry feels that Bryan has the credibility for the role.

Since the company no longer has the expensive services of the Great Khali, they are forced to find other wrestlers to send to India to promote. The latest person to be sent to that country is Mark Henry, and he is on his way there this week. His promotional duties aren't for an upcoming tour, however. He is simply there to bring a little more awareness for WWE since they are televised there.

The former world heavyweight champion stated that he was boycotting USA Today because of an ignorant article that was written. He was not specific, so fans are left to guess which one pissed him off. For those that don't know, Henry was a big part of the racial controversy in WWE not too long ago.

During his podcast interview with Chris Jericho, Mark Henry went off on a bit of a tangent towards the former wrestlers that are filing lawsuits against WWE. The former world heavyweight champion stated that the majority of the guys that are trying to capitalize off the company only worked briefly for World Wrestling Entertainment. Henry does not feel that they should be paid.

Due to the fact that he has faced racism backstage in WWE before, a lot of people sought out Mark Henry to see how he feels about the latest fiasco involving Hulk Hogan. Henry felt that Hogan was a friend for years, but he was extremely hurt and disappointed to hear the words that came out of the Hulkster's mouth in the recently released audio tapes.

In a situation that might spark some racial debates, three WWE performers were pulled over by a police officer as they were leaving Battleground, and they all happen to be black. Mark Henry and the Prime Time Players posted about the situation on social media. The three of them seemed to have taken the situation really well, as they joked about having clean records.
