Even though they are both well established in the mainstream media, WWE continues to spend a good amount of resource in figuring out new and better ways of marketing The Rock and John Cena. While the internet wrestling community is begging for the focus to be placed on new stars, management knows that the proven commodities are the ones that are going to bring in the most revenue to the company.

The odds of a WWE diva appearing in Playboy magazine in the near future are extremely slim. However, the belief is that the editors of that publication would love to have Charlotte posing in an issue. Not only is she pretty easy on the eyes, but the fact that she is the daughter of Ric Flair, whose name value is still mainstream, makes her that much more appealing. No contact between the two companies is expected.

During a recent interview, Paige revealed that she was very much about the Submission Sorority name that WWE gave her, Becky Lynch and Charlotte. She simply did not like the way that it sounded and tried to convince management to drop the idea. However, the front office went through with it anyways and received a black eye when the mainstream media caught wind that it was also the name of a porn group.

At some point in time over the past year, WWE wanted really badly to put Roman Reigns on the cover of the video game that is coming out in a couple of weeks. They wanted him to be featured as a superstar. However, they went with a better marketing decision instead by opting to use Steve Austin, who went mainstream years ago, to garner more attention and potentially increase sales.

Since word of his arrest for murder has gone mainstream, WWE has to consider what they are going to do with Jimmy Snuka. He is a member of their hall of fame and has plenty of content on the Network. Management might opt to quietly remove him like they did when Hulk Hogan caused a controversial over some racial comments that he made. A decision should come this week.

Whenever celebrities are brought into WWE to work a match, there's a lot of skepticism from the internet wrestling community. Many felt the same way when Stephen Amell was brought in for Summerslam. The longtime wrestling fan, though, proved everyone wrong. He did much better than expected. The Arrow star received praised from both the people backstage and the mainstream media.

It is rare for guys outside of WWE to gain mainstream media attention, but that is exactly what the Young Bucks recently accomplished. The brothers delivered super kicks to an eight year old kid recently, and that was mentioned by both Fox Sports and TMZ. The articles were in good nature, as they focused more on someone so young being able to sell so well.

WWE announced this week that Stephen Amell would team up with Adrian Neville to take on Stardust and Wade Barrett at Summerslam. There were those backstage that were actually hoping that Goldust would be able to return in time to team up with his little brother. The belief was that the bizarre tandem would help intrigue the mainstream media attention that Amell is surely to bring.

Diana Hart Smith was recently asked about the petition she started to help her husband, British Bulldog, into the WWE Hall of Fame. She stated that she has received little to no response from management in regards to the matter. The company might be avoiding an induction because they fear that the mainstream media will bring up the topic of wrestlers dying early.

When the racial controversy involving Hulk Hogan erupted, WWE was extremely worried about the blow back that might come their way. By quickly cutting ties with Hogan, they managed to cushion the blow a bit. While management will never admit it, the belief was that the company was internally worried that the Michael Hayes situation would come back to light in the mainstream media.
