His death not only rocked the wrestling world, but it also rocked the mainstream world, as many are aware of him even though they are not regular watchers of the industry. WWE finally honored the Macho Man this year with a hall of fame induction, something that should have happened years ago.

A rather interesting thing was revealed through a blog post by Kevin Eck. The former member of the creative department revealed that Justin Bieber wanted to wrestle a match at Summerslam in 2014. WWE officials were intrigued by the idea because it would easily generate a ton of publicity with the mainstream media. However, there were those backstage that were concerned that the troubled singer might also be a detriment to their brand.

For the longest time, Michelle Beadle was one of the more famous WWE fans in the mainstream media. She would frequently visit the live events and hang out backstage. That has come to an end, and she is blaming Triple H for it. Michelle stated that she could no longer support a company that publicly and firmly supports Floyd Mayweather, whom she labeled as a serial domestic abuser. The boxer actually had her banned from the big fight.

While he is quite happy with his current job, WWE has not ruled out a potential return by Jonathan Coachman. The company really liked what he brought to the table and view him as a valuable asset. The fact that he has been working for ESPN for a couple of years now means that his name value has increased tremendously. It would provide professional wrestling with some more credibility to have someone from the mainstream media.

While he barely started with the company, people in TNA are thrilled at what Billy Corgan has already done for them. A good amount of mainstream media attention was placed on the promotion yesterday when it was revealed that the former lead singer of the Smashing Pumpkins had decided to sign on as the senior producer in the creative department. It sparked a lot of curiosity with the masses, so that is a good thing for wrestling.

To put it more simply, he is now in charge of the creative department. The signing has brought a bit of mainstream media attention to the company, but that is not the sole reason why it was done. Corgan is actually a huge fan of wrestling and has years of experience in the business.

While management still has not made anything official just yet, the belief now is that they are leaning towards Michelle McCool being the host of the returning Total Divas series. They feel that nostalgic fans would love to see her being involved with WWE again. She would also be cheaper than someone like Maria Menounos, a person that would be a dream candidate because she would bring in mainstream media attention to the show.

However, the former world heavyweight champion has softened up on that stance quite a bit in a new interview. He stated that he was really busy with his own wrestling school.
