CM Punk
While doing a podcast interview with Jim Ross, Kurt Angle discussed the topic of CM Punk and his departure from WWE earlier in the year. Angle stated that he was not aware of how injured Punk was until recently. Upon finding that out, Angle stated that he respected Punk's decision to leave, in order to preserve his health. Angle did also mention that Punk had issues with WWE over the booking and the direction of his character.

Austin Aries
For those that missed Impact Wrestling this week, Austin Aries defeated Seiya Sanada to capture the TNA X Division Championship. Since the match was taped before Sanada had a chance to sign a new contract with TNA, the belief is that his potential departure was one of the reasons behind the title switch. Aries also announced that he would be cashing in the belt to get a shot at the world heavyweight champion at Destination X.

Santino Marella
When he announced his sudden decision to retire, Santino Marella teased WWE fans that he might be taking over as the new general manager of Monday Night Raw and Smackdown. While the role is vacant due to the departure of Vickie Guerrero from the company, there has been no confirmation of what Marella is claiming. The belief is that he was simply teasing the audience at this point.
July 7, 2014
Vickie Guerrero
Since she was given a respectable departure from the company, the belief is that Vickie Guerrero is highly regarded by WWE management. The speculation has even more credibility now that the company is airing a special tribute show for her on the WWE Network. The show is basically a highlight reel of her best performances during her longer than expected tenure with the company.

Yoshi Tatsu
While there is some sadness to every release today, the departure of Yoshi Tatsu has to be bothering several people left in WWE. He was well liked backstage, as he never got involved in any of the political stuff in the locker room. Tatsu kept a positive attitude since being removed from the main roster. He put in a lot of time and effort into improving himself in developmental, so he could get another chance to work Monday Night Raw and Smackdown. Unfortunately, though, it was not enough for WWE.
June 12, 2014
Bully Ray
While there are still some questions whether or not this is a shoot or a story line, Tommy Dreamer is telling fans that he might be done with TNA as a backstage agent after an incident where he bashed Dixie Carter for removing Bully Ray at the last minute from his House of Hardcore show. His departure has not been confirmed yet, and many are still under the belief that this is an elaborate work.
June 11, 2014
Jeff Jarrett
Thus far, the TNA Hall of Fame consists of Sting and Kurt Angle, two of the more prolific performers in the history of the industry. A third member is set to join them. At Slammiversary 2014, Angle will be on hand to announce who the latest inductee will be. No official word on who the third person was going to be, but there are heavy rumors that Jeff Jarrett could be inducted as part of his departure agreement with TNA.
June 11, 2014
Kurt Angle
The general consensus backstage in TNA is that the company will lose Kurt Angle later on this year when his contract expires. Several of the wrestlers remaining with the company are speaking rather candidly about his imminent departure nowadays. Rumors have persisted for the last year that he was going to attempt a WWE return. Angle himself has been publicly stating his desire to return to the company that made him a star.

CM Punk
CM Punk has made the news again. Instead of people discussing his departure from WWE, the story this time is a heartwarming one. The former world heavyweight champion spotted a high school baseball team at a hotel parking lot and decided to give them an impromptu pep talk. The coach was very appreciative of the gesture and stated that Punk was a good role model for his players.
May 3, 2014
Cody Rhodes
For the last several weeks, there have been rumors floating around that Goldust was going to be leaving WWE in the near future, and the belief now is that he will be making his departure after working a feud against his brother Cody Rhodes. Seeds of dissension between the two have been planted by the writers over the last couple weeks of Monday Night Raw.

AJ Styles
"It's unfortunate. At the end of the day this is a business, not everybody is going to be happy and people go their separate ways. It's the wrestling business and we're seen it happen a million times. Unfortunately, AJ Styles was a TNA original and was the face of our company for a very long time. That departure bothers me the most. I had a great relationship with AJ, we were friends, we were part of Fortune together, and we had some great matches. I understand where AJ's coming from, it's all business, and I wish him nothing but the best. Sting was a great guy to have in our locker room. He was a veteran leader. A guy that you can go and talk to, a guy who I had some memorable matches, and a guy who mentored me a lot and taught me a lot in the ring. He's an icon; his name will live forever in this business. And I wish him nothing but the best of luck. At the end of the day this is a business and you've got to do what you can for yourself." - Bobby Roode talks about people leaving TNA

Charlie Haas
With Jeff Jarrett traveling the world to find professional wrestling stars to join his new Global Force Wrestling, a name that has popped up in the rumor mills is Charlie Haas. The former WWE star has been really quiet since his odd departure from ROH. Haas has been in semi retirement, working small shows here and there in Texas. He would bring a veteran presence and a familiar face to GFW.
April 24, 2014
JTG
Since he has been infrequently utilized by the company over the last year, there have long been speculations that JTG will be released by WWE once his contract is up. It appears that there is some merit behind those rumors, as the former Cryme Tyme member has been focused on other business ventures to ensure that his departure from WWE is not too rough.
March 26, 2014
Brie Bella
While doing an interview on a radio show this past week, Nikki Bella and Brie Bella were asked about CM Punk leaving WWE. The host asked if his departure opened up spots for their boyfriends, John Cena and Daniel Bryan respectively. The twin divas responded by saying that Cena and Bryan were already in good spots regardless of what Punk was doing.
March 25, 2014
Rob Terry
While he is enjoying the experience of working with some of the biggest names in that country, Rob Terry might be considering a departure from Japan. He recently went through an earthquake in the middle of the night, and it really took a toll on him. He noted that he lives on the fourth floor of a building, so things were especially bad that night.
March 16, 2014
Brooke Tessmacher
While a big buzz was created earlier this month about her rumored departure from the company, it appears that Brooke Tessmacher is not leaving TNA. She simply opted to be less active on Twitter, which was what initially sparked the flames of the speculations. The former Knockouts champion is still quite active on Instagram, posting pictures and updates routinely.
March 15, 2014
Rey Mysterio
While many have been speculating his possible departure from the company in a few weeks, Rey Mysterio added even more fuel to the fire this week with his absence from Monday Night Raw and the Smackdown taping on the following night. His spot at Wrestlemania 30 has not been finalized, and it appears that management might not give him one after all.
March 5, 2014
CM Punk
One of the big problems facing WWE with the departure of CM Punk is the fact that he is involved in several upcoming projects for the company. The former world heavyweight champion is involved in the upcoming Flintstones movie and another online film. Vince McMahon does not like promoting performers who are no longer there with him.
March 5, 2014
CM Punk
While a lot of fans are still under the impression that this could be some sort of work, WWE continues to have their business affected by the departure of CM Punk leaving before his contract expired. The company is now offering refunds on a best of Monday Night Raw and Smackdown DVD because they had initially promised cards signed by Punk.
February 26, 2014
Batista
Through Twitter, Batista revealed that he initially left WWE four years ago because he had to and not because he wanted to. At the time of his departure, the belief was that he simply got tired of professional wrestling and wanted to pursue something else. However, these comments have led to speculations that his body needed time to heal.

Mae Young
While many will remember her long and storied career in professional wrestling, Mae Young actually started out as an amateur wrestler. A bit of a tomboy growing up, the future WWE hall of fame inductee, was trained by her older brothers on how to wrestle. She became so good that she was allowed on the boys team in high school.

Mae Young

WWE received some criticism from the fans last night because they did not put more of an emphasis on their tribute to Mae Young, whose death last week saddened the wrestling world. More feathers will be ruffled, as management has opted to remove the video completely from the Hulu broadcast of Monday Night Raw.

"When I ran into the duo at shows, Moolah would always remember me from our catering convos, and in the middle of talking Mae Young would go, 'Now which one are you again?' in that shaky voice to which Moolah would say, 'Oh Mae Hush Up' to which we would all share a laugh."

January 16, 2014
Mae Young

"I'm just grateful for the moments I got to spend with her. Both Moolah and Mae were an important part of my life in WWE, especially in my first couple years in the company as they were my biggest cheerleaders. They were always encouraging me and telling me they liked how I didn't 'wrestle like a girl'. She was an inspiration to me and so many of the girls in the locker room. I used to tell her 'Mae, I want to be just like you when I grow up'. I'm going to miss her a lot."
