Daniel Bryan wins IC title

In the opening match of Wrestlemania, Daniel Bryan defeated Dolph Ziggler, R Truth, Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes, Dean Ambrose and Luke Harper in a ladder match to win the Intercontinental Championship. WWE expected a great performance here, and that is exactly what they got. Lots of good spots. Very high impact. The end saw Bryan and Ziggler trading stiff headbutts on top of the ladder before Bryan knocked out Ziggler.

Luke Harper without beard

Rumors have surfaced that there was a point in time where WWE considered the possibility of having Luke Harper be without his beard. It was most likely around the time where the creative department decided to split him apart from Bray Wyatt and Erick Rowan. Fortunately, the front office opted to not do the drastic gimmick change because it would have totally changed his character. A change in the future is still a possibility.

Erick Rowan heel turn

There is a very good chance now that Erick Rowan might be going back to the dark side very soon. Since the creative department is unable to come up with a standalone story line for the guy, there are talks that WWE could pull out a heel turn for Rowan. The belief is that he could be paired back up against with Luke Harper, another performer that is neglected by the writers. They would be utilized to provide tremendous depth to the tag team division.

Reports recently surfaced that WWE was applying for a trademark for the term "Redneck Reppin' Company", which has led to mass speculations from the internet wrestling community that a new stable was going to be formed. As of right now, there as been no confirmation of such a group. However, if one were to be formed, then a strong candidate to be involved would be Luke Harper, a performer that many backstage are big fans of.

Zombie Eddie Guerrero

During the match between Ryback and Luke Harper during Monday Night Raw last night, JBL generated a bit of controversy with some comments that he made. When Harper flew over the ropes, the commentator stated that he looked like a "zombie Eddie Guerrero", which drew the ire of the internet wrestling community, who pounced him with some negative comments through social media. Guerrero still remains very popular with the fans.

Chris Jericho returns

When it comes to surprising the audience, Chris Jericho is one of the performers who takes a lot of pride in that. Initially, he was scheduled to make his return to WWE next weekend at live events. However, the former world heavyweight champion decided to come back this weekend instead. Fans in Montgomery, Alabama were treated to his appearance tonight. Jericho worked a singles match against Luke Harper and got the win.

Erick Rowan push

As soon as WWE split up the Wyatt Family, the widespread belief was that they wanted to give Erick Rowan and Luke Harper a push that was outside of the outstretched shadows of Bray Wyatt. It now looks like Rowan might be the first one of the trio to lose that push, as management is said to be a bit concerned about how lackluster the audience has react to his new character. The feud with Big Show did very little to add momentum to Rowan.

When Jack Swagger was given a slight push by WWE earlier in the month, there were some fans who were under the impression that he was going to be moving back up the ladder again. However, as reports had stated, the former world heavyweight champion was simply used to elevate Rusev in a stall feud. Swagger is moving back down the ladder now, as evident by the fact that he put over Luke Harper in a match on Monday Night Raw.

Dolph Ziggler praised

Those that watched the TLC pay per view last night, know that Dolph Ziggler once again stole the show during his ladder match with Luke Harper for the Intercontinental Championship. Not only has the new champion received quite a bit of praise backstage, he is also receiving a good amount of praise from legends via social media. Edge stated that the match reminded him of why he loved professional wrestling, while Steve Austin said that he enjoyed every part of the match.
