While he sits and waits to hear from WWE, Lex Luger is going to be inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. The former world heavyweight champion is also receiving the Frank Gotch award, which is given to performers to who bring a positive light to the professional wrestling industry with their work outside of the ring. Luger might some day still be inducted by World Wrestling Entertainment.

While doing a podcast interview with Jim Ross, Lex Luger confessed that he regrets the way that he left WWE. The former world heavyweight champion stated that he should have at least told Vince McMahon about his departure, as the two of them were close enough tow here Luger went to McMahon's house to hang out. Lex stated that if he could do that part of his life over, he would have done it differently.

A longstanding rumor was confirmed by Ric Flair during his latest podcast interview show. He reiterated that he refused to drop the WCW World Heavyweight Championship to Lex Luger, who had chased Flair and the belt for a very long time. The reason why the Nature Boy refused to do that was because he had promised the title to Sting. This caused a major conflict with promoter Jim Herd and caused Flair to leave for WWE.

In case you're wondering what Lex Luger has been doing as of late, the former world heavyweight champion recently moved to North Carolina. He did so because he started up a non profit organization called World Wrestling Outreach. He and Nikita Koloff have partnered up to create wrestling events that raise funds for various community needs.
