There are plans within TNA right now to have Rockstar Spud and Ethan Carter working as a tag team. People backstage feel that the two of them work very well together and have a better chance of connecting with the audience if they were to work as a unit.
It appears that the story line and character development for Brutus Magnus is working, as fans have been booing him during the European tour. Many backstage were expecting him to receive cheers like Rockstar Spud has been receiving, but they're pleasantly surprised by the crowd reaction.
British star Rockstar Spud managed to gain some attention during his segment on Impact Wrestling with Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards from Scotland tonight, as the relatively new TNA star became a trend on Twitter. Fans also made the show itself a trend as well.
"I was brought in by Hiro Matsuda to always be professional, don't ever question finishes. If a guy like Undertaker [wanted to beat me at WrestleMania], I wouldn't have had any problem putting him over, especially at WrestleMania. I understand ... that some guys might be frustrated but I don't understand what they would be frustrated about. It's one match in a career. If you have confidence in yourself, your career, and the big picture as far as where you're going, I don't think it hurts at all to put Undertaker over at WrestleMania."
- Lex Luger on Undertaker
"I really am living the dream and returning to the UK, whatever the reaction, really tops its off. It has been a whirlwind year or so really but I can’t think of a better way to top it off than with this tour and getting to wrestle for TNA in front of my hometown crowd. It might be a cliché but it really is a dream come true, I have wanted to be a wrestler for so long and now being able to do it, is just amazing.”
- Rockstar Spud talks about being on Impact Wrestling in England
After playing football collegiately for the University of Miami and professionally for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League, Lex Luger made his way to the NFL when he signed with the Green Bay Packers. Unfortunately, though, he never played a single regular season game for the team.
TNA officials are said to be extremely pleased with how well Rockstar Spud and Ethan Carter have been performing as of late. The goal was to bring in fresh new faces, and the two of them have been making management look good in that choice.
On a special Final Resolution edition of Impact Wrestling last night, Brutus Magnus defeated Jeff Hardy in a tournament final and became the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion. He climbed the ladder and retrieved the belt after Rockstar Spud interfered.
Many have been praising Rockstar Spud for his work in TNA, as many feel that he is really getting into his character. The European star recently made his Impact Wrestling debut as the executive assistant for Dixie Carter.
Rockstar Spud has returned to Impact Wrestling and is now working as the on screen assistant to Dixie Carter.
Since the dangers of football has been a heavily discussed topic, Lex Luger, who had a brief stint in the NFL, defended the sport through his Twitter account.
There are talks that Rockstar Spud could be called up by TNA before the company does their European tour in February.
"I know Sting loves his time in TNA but at the same time he's never told me he has refused the idea of ever going to WWE."
