Since New Japan had short notice about Shinsuke Nakamura leaving the country to become a star with WWE, they were not able to book a bigger venue for his final match with the promotion. After 13 years of being a star there, there was a high demand from fans that wanted to say goodbye to Nakamura. That meant that scalpers were charging a whole lot more than the face value. Shinsuke signed a two year deal with World Wrestling Entertainment.

As expected, Shinsuke Nakamura held a press conference today where he announced to fans and the media that he will be leaving New Japan Pro Wrestling. The 35 year old confessed that he had been in a rut for the past couple of years because he wanted a new challenge in his career. It is interesting to note that Nakamura did not specifically mention WWE by name when talking about what his future plans are.

Tommy Dreamer done with WWE

Over the weekend, Tommy Dreamer worked live events for WWE in Charleston and Canton. After that, he should be done with the company for the time being. The belief is that Dreamer will return to TNA and work backstage at Impact Wrestling. Tommy is said to be leaving World Wrestling Entertainment on really good terms, so it would not be impossible to see him making another return to the promotion some day.

IWGP strips Shinsuke Nakamura

Initially, Shinsuke Nakamura was supposed to drop the IWGP Intercontinental Championship before leaving New Japan and joining WWE. However, that does not appear to be happening any more because Nakamura has been stripped of his beloved IC title. Kenny Omega is going to battle a mystery opponent for the belt. Nakamura will work a couple of more dates for the promotion before heading to the United States to train.

Through a video posted earlier today, Taryn Terrell has informed her fans that she has decided to leave TNA. Over the past year, the former Knockouts Champion has rediscovered a passion for religion after having severe questions about how she was living her life. Through religion, she realized that being a professional wrestler was not conducive to what she wanted out of life. Taryn stated that she is leaving on good terms.

Mike Tenay leaving TNA

There are rumors floating around that Mike Tenay could be leaving TNA, as his contract with the promotion expires at the end of 2015. Management replaced him at the announce table with Josh Mathews. Tenay ended up working backstage with the production team. The belief is that the two sides will move on from one another, and Tenay will focus on his sports betting podcast job.

In a move that comes as a surprise to very few, Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis finished off their contract with ROH. They will be leaving the company now as a new contract was not able to be reached. Maria was already well known in the industry due to her time in WWE, but Bennett greatly increased his name value, thanks in part to successful stints in New Japan. Reports are saying that they are heading to TNA by January.

One of the big reasons why John Cena is branching out away from WWE is because he wants to draw in new fans to professional wrestling. He feels that he has already drawn in as much of an audience as possible through traditional methods. Cena now wants to draw in fans by doing movies and television shows. The former world heavyweight champion still has no plans of leaving permanently.
