The belief is that this is where the company will reveal that they have signed Kenta Kobayashi, one of the better performers in the country, to a contract to join the WWE roster.
July 11, 2014
CM Punk
Since leaving WWE earlier in the year, CM Punk has remained relatively quiet, making sporadic appearances at NHL and MLB games. The former world heavyweight champion is going to be making a higher profile appearance later on this month. Punk will be the co-host of the kickoff show for the Alternative Press Music Awards, which is being held at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
July 9, 2014
Bully Ray
Since his company is folding and he is joining the Great Muta in Wrestle-1, there are talks that Tajiri could be making an appearance in TNA very soon, as the two companies have been working closely together nowadays. Tajiri still has some name value due to his stint in WWE, and he has a connection with characters like Rhyno, Bully Ray, Tommy Dreamer and Devon.
July 6, 2014
Chris Jericho
A car dealership in East Hanover, New Jersey decided to pay Chris Jericho some money to make a promotional appearance, and it paid off big time. The former WWE star managed to draw in approximately 800 people to the event, some of whom stuck around and checked out the vehicles that were being sold. Jericho's drawing power is so tremendous that he can easily generate a good income by doing various appearances across the country.
June 29, 2014
Matt Hardy
On the independent wrestling circuit, Matt Hardy requires a $1500 paycheck for each appearance. The promoter also has to pay for his hotel and airfare. Plus, Reby Sky gets an additional $300 for appearing as well. Since TNA really wanted Hardy to help boost interest in the latest series of Impact Wrestling episodes, the company opted to pay him twice his asking price.
June 29, 2014
Gene Snitsky
A familiar face is expected to show up on Impact Wrestling soon. Rumors are going around that Gene Snitsky has signed a contract with TNA. Aside from an imposing stature, he also brings with him a little name value, thanks to his memorable stint in WWE. No word yet on how long the deal is supposed to be, so there is a chance that his appearance might be temporary.
June 26, 2014
Bret Hart
Monday Night Raw is heading to Montreal next month, and Bret Hart has been signed to make an appearance. WWE is also filming Smackdown in Canada that week, so there is a very good chance that Hart might be making a second appearance for the company. No word yet on what he will be doing on the show, but rumors are suggesting that it will not be anything big.
June 24, 2014
Daniel Bryan
In a rather interesting bit of news, reports are surfacing that the audience at Monday Night Raw did not react much when WWE announced that Daniel Bryan would be making an appearance at Money in the Bank 2014. That comes as a surprise because he was really one of the most popular guys in the industry before he left to have surgery on his injured neck. It should be interesting to see how fans react to him at the pay per view itself.
June 24, 2014
Booker T
Next month, Booker T will be holding the first ever internet pay per view event for his Reality of Wrestling promotion, and he's calling in a big name to help him out. Diamond Dallas Page has signed on to make an appearance at the show. The former WCW champion is unlikely to be wrestling at the event, but he could take part in a physical altercation in an in ring segment.
June 9, 2014
Batista
While his character quit WWE on Monday Night Raw this week, Batista is still very much working with the company. The former world heavyweight champion will still be making an appearance at a WWE NXT event later on this month. Afterwards, he is expected to take off for a couple of months to do promote Guardians of the Galaxy and film another movie.
June 4, 2014
CM Punk
Rumors going around right now is that CM Punk will be making an appearance at Payback 2014 tonight because the event is taking place in his hometown of Chicago. However, the former WWE champion revealed that he will be approximately 20 miles down the road from the pay per view. Punk will be attending an NHL game instead of making his return to wrestling.
June 1, 2014
Kevin Von Erich
During a recent interview to promote his upcoming appearance at Slammiversary 2014, Kevin Von Erich revealed to the Dallas News that he normally avoids traveling because of a bad back suffered from years of being an in ring performer. The Texas legend stated that he was willing to travel from his home in Hawaii to the TNA pay per view because he wants to see his son performing on a national stage.
June 1, 2014
CM Punk
On Saturday night, Jim Ross is doing his one man show at the House of Blues in Chicago. The longtime WWE commentator is hoping that a very famous resident of the city will make a surprise appearance at his event. Ross publicly stated that he does not know if CM Punk will be there, but he hopes that the former WWE champion checks out his act.
May 30, 2014
Shawn Michaels
Since WWE really wants the show to do well, management has decided to give a little bit of a boost to Legends House by having Shawn Michaels doing a guest appearance. The company wants a bigger name on the series next season, but rumors going around is that WWE won't even bother trying to convince Michaels to do the show because he has far too many outside commitments as is.
May 25, 2014
Scott Hall
A potentially interesting situation is developing with Scott Hall again. The former Intercontinental Champion is scheduled to show up at the next Smackdown taping to film an interview segment that will be aired on the WWE Network. Hall recently skipped out on an independent event because of a rumored relapse. It will be interesting to see if he makes it for his WWE appearance.
May 24, 2014
Daniel Bryan
WWE is wrapping up their tour of Europe and the performers will be heading back to the United States. The next episode of Monday Night Raw is taking place in Tennessee, and Daniel Bryan, who recently had neck surgery, is being advertised to make an appearance. This could be a swerve by Stephanie McMahon to further sell the story line between the two.
May 21, 2014
Kevin Steen
While the possibility looked bleak initially, it appears that WWE is set to sign Kevin Steen to a developmental contract. Optimism for his signing was not very high after he received a tryout with the company. However, someone in the WWE front office has convinced management to give the former ROH champion a chance, despite his physical appearance not being up to the company's standards.
May 19, 2014
John Cena
Wizard World is making its debut in San Antonio later this year, and the promoters have wisely secured one of the biggest names in WWE for the event. In August, John Cena will be heading down to Texas to make an appearance at the comic convention. The former world heavyweight champion has been scheduled to sign autographs and take pictures with fans for approximately four hours.
May 7, 2014
Kenny King
If you watch the next episode of Legends House, you're going to see a familiar face as a guest character. Kenny King makes an appearance on the show and teaches the WWE legends how to be a male dancer, his profession when he is not a wrestler. The episode was filmed before King signed a contract to return to TNA.
May 6, 2014
Ric Flair
As of right now, Ric Flair is not scheduled to make an appearance at Extreme Rules 2014, despite being brought to Monday Night Raw for a big segment. He is flying to California on Saturday to do an autograph signing, and he has a flight from there directly to Atlanta afterwards. Extreme Rules is being held in New Jersey on Sunday, so barring a last minute change, Flair will not be involved.
May 2, 2014
Dolph Ziggler
While a lot of fans are hoping to see WWE giving Dolph Ziggler a push again, the on screen relationship between he and Summer Rae is more about the diva than the former world heavyweight champion. Management needed someone to pair her up with, so that she can continue her feud against Fandango and Layla El. WWE still wants to give her a nice push heading into the next season of Total Divas.
July 6, 2014
Cameron
With AJ Lee finally making her return to WWE, the competition in the divas division just got a bit tougher. Someone is going to be losing television time. Naomi Knight and Cameron appear to be safe, as they have a heel turn story line in progress. Summer Rae and Layla El appear to have their weekly television spots secured for the time being. Paige is going to be working a program against AJ, so she should be fine. The belief is that Alicia Fox will be the one demoted, even though her character was gaining a little bit of momentum over the last couple of weeks.
July 5, 2014
Summer Rae
After their segment on Monday Night Raw this week, there is a lot of speculation going around about Dolph Ziggler and Summer Rae. There has been no confirmation that they are dating in real life. The belief is that this is a move by WWE to make both of them slightly more relevant and to have a foil for Fandango and Layla El. This on screen relationship between Ziggler and Summer could be a short term thing.
July 1, 2014
Fandango
To calm down the Money in the Bank 2014 audience, WWE opted to go with another divas match as a filler. Layla El and Summer Rae battled in a match, where Fandango served as the special guest referee. Fans were so disinterested in the segment that a CM Punk chant broke out. In the end, Layla caught Summer with a kick to gain the pinfall. Layla and Fandango kissed after the match, while a despondent Summer looked on.
June 29, 2014
Fandango
Since their characters are constantly kissing one another on Monday Night Raw and Smackdown, fans have naturally been wondering if Fandango and Layla El are really dating in real life. That is not the case. The two WWE performers are simply getting into their characters. Layla currently has a boyfriend outside of professional wrestling that she has been seeing for much of the past year.
May 27, 2014
Layla El
There are rumors floating around right now that Layla El could be finishing up her final run with WWE this year. The longtime diva told the media in England that she was hoping to return to the country full time before the end of the year. While there is a chance that she could just be stroking the media, some do believe that Layla is willing to leave WWE after so many years of being on the road.
May 25, 2014
Fandango
WWE is currently planning a big match between Summer Rae and Layla El, where Fandango would be the special guest referee. Rumors are floating around that the writers will do a story line where Fandango starts to question his decision to leave Summer Rae. If this gains enough steam, then WWE would even consider putting it on a pay per view.
May 24, 2014
Summer Rae
Now that Summer Rae has completed the filming of Marine 4 with the Miz, she will be returning to Monday Night Raw and Smackdown very soon. Upon her return to television, expect her to be utilized as a baby face in a feud against Layla El and Fandango. WWE could pair her up with a male performer, such as Dolph Ziggler, to even the odds in the feud.
May 15, 2014
Layla El
It looks like Layla El will not be the next WWE NXT Women's Champion, as the longtime diva has been eliminated from the tournament to crown a new titleholder. She lost to Natalya Neidhart this week. Rather than allowing Paige to hold both this belt and the WWE Divas Championship, management opted to strip her of the title and hold a tournament.
May 2, 2014
Jimmy Uso
As is usually the case with every pay per view, you can expect WWE to do last minute additions to the Extreme Rules 2014 match card. Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Curtis Axel and Ryback are expected to get the seventh match on the card. If WWE needs another filler match, then Emma, Santino Marella, Layla El and Fandango are the top candidates for that spot.
April 27, 2014
Summer Rae
One of the big reasons why WWE put Layla El with Fandango is because Summer Rae is taking a couple of weeks off of television to film a sequel to the Marine with the Miz. WWE wanted to keep Fandango on television, but they did not feel that his act would be nearly as popular without a female companion. Thus, Layla was chosen to take over the role.
April 17, 2014
Summer Rae
Since Summer Rae is going to be pushed as a singles star now, WWE opted to split her up from Fandango, who sold the story line through his Twitter account. As many saw on Smackdown this week, Summer Rae has been replaced with Layla El, who actually has experience as a dancer. WWE has been trying to find a role for Layla since her return.
April 12, 2014
Layla El
For those of you that are interested in relationship news and rumors for professional wrestlers, Layla El, who was off the road from WWE for quite a period of time, now has a boyfriend. The man is believed to have a Middle Eastern background, as this picture popped up on Twitter of the two of them having an Arabic breakfast.
March 27, 2014
Cameron
Initially, there was a push backstage in WWE to have AJ Lee defending the belt against Naomi Knight in a straight up match, but for the sake of Total Divas, management opted to just throw as many of the girls into the match as possible. Cameron, Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, Natalya Neidhart, Eva Marie, Summer Rae, Emma, Aksana, Alicia Fox, Rosa Mendes, Layla El and Tamina Snuka are now involved.
March 25, 2014
Alicia Fox
With so much mystery surrounding her absence over the last several months, Layla El has finally made her return to WWE over the weekend at a live event in Waco. She teamed up with Alicia Fox to defeat Natalya Neidhart and Eva Marie in a tag team match. Some were under the belief that she would never be healthy enough to wrestle again, but that has now been proven false.
March 16, 2014
Leah Van Damme
One of the things that WWE likes about Leah Van Damme, also known as Carmella in WWE NXT, is the fact that she spent three years as a cheerleader for the New England Patriots. The company likes touting stuff like that, as evident by how they routinely note that Layla El was a former Miami Heat dancer before joining wrestling.
February 15, 2014
Layla El
With rumors swirling around about her whereabouts and her potential return to WWE, Layla El decided to address them through Twitter. She stated that reports of her never returning to the ring are false. She did not give a return date, but the longtime diva stated that she will be an in ring performer again some day.
February 11, 2014
Layla El
The mystery surrounding Layla El backstage continues. Reports are now surfacing that she has not been cleared by the WWE medical team to return as an in ring performer. Some within the company even feel that she might never return to that role. While she may be brought back as an on screen performer, it is more likely that she will be released instead.
February 9, 2014
Layla El

Things in professional wrestling have a way of leaking out of backstage, but the reason for Layla El being gone from WWE has been a tightly kept secret. She has not been involved in a televised match since September, and there does not appear to be a rush to have her return.

February 3, 2014
Layla El

Over the last several weeks, Layla El has been given time away from the road, but the long time WWE diva recently made a return to the company during a special New Year's Eve photo shoot. No return date has been revealed for her yet, though.
