Close observers of TNA have already known for quite some time now that Ethan Carter would some day carry the world heavyweight championship. During an interview with the Mirror, Kurt Angle essentially confirmed it. He states that while he does not know all the specifics of the push, he does now that management wants to put the top belt on him before the year ends. Angle said that there is a possibility he might be the one to drop it to him.

There is still a good amount of concern backstage for Daniel Bryan. Some people feel that his long term health is in jeopardy because he refuses to have the type of neck surgery that WWE would rather have him do. There are even those that are comparing the situation to what the front office had to deal with Kurt Angle several years back. A big push will be hard to come by if Bryan does not have the trust of management in his corner.

Their world heavyweight championship match was heavily promoted, and it increased viewership for that episode of Impact Wrestling by a very impressive margin of 20 percent. Executives at Destination America should be quite pleased with that, especially since they were the ones that pushed the front office to make Angle the centerpiece attraction again.

The payoff for the Revolution stable led by James Storm might be coming very soon. With Kurt Angle being pushed as the top star in TNA again, he is going to need some heel challengers for his world heavyweight championship. MVP is obviously going to be one of those foes. Another person discussed is Storm, who is long overdue for another run in the main event. His ever growing stable would be an imposing challenge for Angle.

In case you missed the last few episodes of Impact Wrestling, Kurt Angle defeated Bobby Roode and Eric Young to become the top contender for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship that is currently held by Bobby Lashley. Reports have surfaced that management was instructed to push the Olympic gold medalist because having a real American hero would be great for a the theme that Destination America has been trying to push for themselves.
