Robbie E

Robbie and Brooke together

Since they picked up some national exposure, thanks to a good run on the Amazing Race, there are talks that TNA could try to capitalize on the reality television show by pairing up Robbie E and Brooke Tessmacher together when Impact Wrestling makes its debut on Destination America. Just about everyone now knows that they are a real life couple, and that could provide a nice spark for their on screen characters. A combined push is a possibility.

Miz

Miz stuck in tag team

The speculation going on backstage in WWE right now is that the Miz is stuck in the tag team division for the time being, as he has become somewhat a victim of success. Management had no clue that Damien Sandow was going to become this popular when the two of them first started working together. The company is not quite sure that the gimmick would work all that well if Sandow was relegated to just being a character at ringside instead of the ring.

Heath Slater

Heath Slater banned

Considering how quick the company was to distance themselves from him shortly after the charges were filed, it should come as no surprise to anyone that WWE is keeping Heath Slater away from their product as much as they can. The former tag team champion has not worked a televised match in all of December. Reports also surfaced over the weekend that he has been replaced at live events as well. Slater is unlikely to return until the case is over.

Kevin Nash

Kevin Nash cancels appearance

Maryland Championship Wrestling was more than happy to have Kevin Nash at their live event this weekend, even after he was arrested for battery and suspended almost immediately by WWE. However, the former world heavyweight champion opted to cancel out of the appearance at the last minute, citing some sort of medical emergency involving his son. The promotion was able to replace him with Mick Foley, thus keeping their fan base pleased.

Randy Orton

Randy Orton injured

Over the weekend, there was a good amount of speculation that Randy Orton had been injured while making his return to WWE at a live event. However, it now appears that the company was simply working the live audience and the internet wrestling community. The former world heavyweight champion is just fine and should be back on Monday Night Raw very soon, perhaps as early as the next episode. Orton will be a big part of the Royal Rumble.
