On July 4, 2015, WWE is doing a live event at the Sumo Hall in Tokyo. The show just received a bit of a boost, as Brock Lesnar has signed on to wrestle that night. He was originally planning on going to Japan anyways to meet with the legendary Masa Saito. The former world heavyweight champion opted to work, so that he can have his trip paid for. In a rather interesting move, management has chosen Kofi Kingston as his opponent that night.

WWE feels that they might have found a centerpiece for their tag team division in New Day. The trio produces nice combinations. Xavier Woods, who almost received a release while working in developmental, is considered the strongest talker in the group. Management has long loved the athletic style that Kofi Kingston utilizes. Big E Langston has the size and look that the front office has long preferred in their performers.

Despite the loss to Wade Barrett in the King of the Ring tournament, do not expect Adrian Neville to be dropped down the ladder by WWE. The front office still has every intention of keeping his push going. The belief is that Neville can be given a good amount of momentum by replacing Kofi Kingston as the high flyer in the upcoming Money in the Bank match. He is unlikely to win the thing, but he will be made to look very strong that night.

Since he has not been given a push until recently, many were under the assumption that Kofi Kingston was not happy in WWE. Some believed that he would be better off walking away. However, Kingston never even entertained the thought of retirement. In fact, he still enjoys working for the company despite not being featured as much as someone as talented as him should be. Kingston plans to remain with WWE for a while.

Just as a recap, here are all the winners from Extreme Rules 2015. Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston captured the tag team championship in WWE. John Cena, Seth Rollins and Nikki Bella all retained their respective belts at the pay per view. Other winners include Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler and Roman Reigns. During the kickoff match, Adrian Neville was given a surprising victory over a five time former Intercontinental Champion.

In a sign that fans can actually help to dictate the product, rumors are floating around that WWE changed up their plans for the tag team division because of the chants that New Day were getting. Management originally was going to give the Lucha Dragons a shot at the belt at Extreme Rules. However, the switch was made to Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston, who are likely to win. Kalisto and Sin Cara would then challenge Kingston and Langston.

As some of you already know, plans change pretty often backstage in WWE. Originally, Kalisto and Sin Cara were supposed to challenge Tyson Kidd and Antonio Cesaro for the tag team championship at Extreme Rules. However, management opted to change things up by giving the match to Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston instead, even though the Lucha Dragons received really nice ovations from the live events during the Europe tour.

Some good news if you're a fan of the New Day. Since management could not get them over as baby faces, the plan now is to turn them into heel. As seen on Monday Night Raw, Xavier Woods and Big E Langston were a lot more aggressive in the ring than normal. They came close to cheating on a couple of occasions. The losses and boos will eventually cause them to go evil. This would mark the first heel turn for Kofi Kingston since joining WWE.

Some further details have been revealed about the family emergency that Kofi Kingston has been dealing with. His sister passed away earlier in the week. That led to rumors that he was forced to leave San Francisco and would miss Wrestlemania. However, reports then surfaced that the longtime WWE star was going to stick around and finish off the pay per view before going to be with his family later on in the week.
