With Night of Champions 2014 being a crucial pay per view in terms of drawing in WWE Network subscribers, management is going to be stacking the deck a bit. They knew that they needed their two biggest draws in the main event. That's why it has now been officially announced that John Cena has activated his rematch clause against Brock Lesnar, and the two will tangle again for the world heavyweight championship.
August 20, 2014
It will be interesting to see how WWE handles the promotion of the world heavyweight championship over the next few weeks. Brock Lesnar is not scheduled to be back on television for approximately a month. John Cena, who is returning next week, is expected to get his rematch story line. Paul Heyman is great at what he does, but management will be curious to see how the audience reacts to a missing champion.
August 19, 2014
For those of you that missed Monday Night Raw this week, Brock Lesnar made his much anticipated return to WWE and challenged John Cena at Summerslam 2014 for the world heavyweight championship. The story is that Paul Heyman convinced Triple H to go with Plan C because it was the best chance at getting the strap away from Cena.
July 22, 2014
Rumors are floating around that the segment on Monday Night Raw between John Cena and Ric Flair was a subtle way for WWE to retire the world heavyweight championship belt. For those that missed it, Cena handed the belt over to Flair and told the legendary performer to keep it. WWE has not released an official statement on the matter yet, so fans will be tuning in to Smackdown and WWE Battleground 2014 to see the fate of the belt.
July 15, 2014
Prior to his injury, there were plans in place to have MVP winning the TNA World Heavyweight Championship from Eric Young. Since the company needed a heel champion to be the antagonist against Kurt Angle and his new on screen authority role, the belt went to Bobby Lashley instead. There are talks that TNA could try to figure out how to transfer the belt over to MVP soon.
July 5, 2014
Based on all the moves that they have been making as of late, it seems that Dixie Carter and her company are hellbent on generating big numbers at these upcoming shows in New York City. TNA just announced that Jeff Hardy will be challenging Bobby Lashley for the world heavyweight championship at one of the shows. Both guys have name value thanks to their time in WWE.
June 21, 2014
A big reason why Bobby Lashley was given the TNA World Heavyweight Championship this week is because he is viewed as a marketing asset. The company immediately sent out a press release to inform them that Lashley had become the new champion. TNA is touting his accomplishments as a collegiate athlete, military personnel, mixed martial arts and professional wrestling to the media.
June 20, 2014
Rumors going around right now has WWE giving the world heavyweight championship to a heel at Money in the Bank 2014. The belief is that the company will set someone up to feud with John Cena and Daniel Bryan over the next few months. Antonio Cesaro has been rumored for a few weeks now, but some are skeptical of that because he hasn't been given a ton of momentum by WWE. Management will either hot shot the belt to Bray Wyatt or go with the safe route in Randy Orton.
June 16, 2014
Since MVP has a badly injured knee, TNA decided to change up the main event of Slammiversary 2014. Eric Young will still be defending the world heavyweight championship in a steel cage at the event, but he's now going to be doing so against two opponents. The winners of the respective matches between Samoa Joe, Bobby Lashley, Kenny King and Austin Aries will be challenging Young for the belt.
June 13, 2014
During a recent podcast interview with Chris Jericho, MVP revealed that he was going to try to fight through the knee injury and work Slammiversary 2014. The former United States Heavyweight Champion is scheduled to challenge Eric Young for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at the pay per view. Management is still working on a backup plan in case his knee does not hold up, however.
June 11, 2014
During the Payback 2014 pay per view, WWE did a segment where Stephanie McMahon demanded that Daniel Bryan make a decision about the world heavyweight championship. Instead of him giving up the belt that he chased for so long, Brie Bella told Stephanie that she was quitting WWE. Brie then gave a big slap to Stephanie. The belief is that Brie will be given some time off of television.
June 1, 2014
Slammiversary 2014 takes place later on this month, and the main event might be in jeopardy. Originally, Eric Young was scheduled to defend the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against MVP, but the challenger suffered some sort of knee injury while working an independent wrestling show in England over the weekend. No word yet on the severity of the injury, but MVP was limping pretty badly.
June 1, 2014
For those of you that do not watch Impact Wrestling on a regular basis, MVP has done a heel turn. The former United States Heavyweight Champion has also given himself a shot at Eric Young and the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at Slammiversary 2014 as well. Management pulled the trigger on the move, as they feel that MVP could be more valuable as an antagonist.
May 9, 2014
In the main event of TNA Sacrifice 2014, Eric Young was able to defeat Brutus Magnus to retain the world heavyweight championship. Young scored the pin fall victory after delivering two piledrivers and a top rope elbow drop. During the match, Magnus attempted to cheat by using a weapon to win the TNA title back, but the referee caught him.
April 27, 2014
Rumors have it that people backstage in WWE are amused by the fact that TNA put their world heavyweight championship around the waist of Eric Young. It is not so much a shot at Young, as many in the industry feel that he is a good worker and a nice person. The ridicule is more about how TNA went about with the story line of crowning him as champion.
April 19, 2014
Since he is now the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, Eric Young is being given a bit of a gimmick change, as management wants to move him further away from the comedic character that he has portraying over the years. TNA wants fans to believe that Young is a credible champion. His Monster's Ball match against Abyss on Impact Wrestling was to aid that.
April 19, 2014
Rumors have it that another reason why TNA gave the world heavyweight championship to Eric Young was to keep him from joining Jeff Jarrett in Global Force Wrestling. Young and Jarrett have a long history together, and they remain on very good terms. Since he is a very good worker and well liked backstage, TNA would much rather he stay with them long term.
April 18, 2014
If TNA decides to keep the belt on Eric Young for the long term, an idea which is being tossed around backstage because of his marketing value at the moment, then management is going to push Bobby Roode up as a challenger for the world heavyweight championship. There are still talks of Brutus Magnus recapturing the belt at TNA Sacrifice 2014.

A lot of fans are under the assumption that the stable consisting of Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston has been disbanded. It's hard to blame them for thinking that because WWE has removed them from television over the last couple of weeks. However, rumors are floating around that the trio has been informed by management that there are still plans in place for them to work as a group in the future. The creative department simply has not figured out a good way of using them.

WWE could be testing out the audience to see if the trio can be worth saving.

Those rumors appear to be true as Woods addressed those rumors through his Twitter account. He stated that he is not currently involved in a group. Woods also mentioned that he would much rather use intelligence as a weapon in a stable as opposed to race.

For a short period of time there, Titus ONeil had his name linked to rumors that he was joining Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston in their new stable. However, it looks like he has been crossed off the list of candidates. ONeil has now been penciled in as a permanent tag team with Heath Slater, who was left with nothing to do when WWE released Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre.
July 29, 2014
Rumors are floating around that WWE really does not have all their plans in place for that new stable featuring Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston. Several names, including R Truth, Titus ONeil and Mark Henry, have been mentioned as possible candidates to join the group, but none of that has been solidified. For the time being, the trio will continue to be vague on television.
July 29, 2014
An interesting idea being floated around in WWE has Titus ONeil joining the stable that consists of Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston. Management really likes ONeil, as evident by the fact that he routinely gets sent out on public appearances for the company, but they do not believe that he can be pushed as a singles performer. Putting him in a stable helps to alleviate some of those concerns.
July 28, 2014
There are those backstage in WWE that are skeptical of the idea of doing a heel turn for Kofi Kingston, who has long been regarded as the ultimate baby face. Since he does a lot of the charity work for the company, some are afraid that it will affect that aspect of his job as well. There are rumors floating around that WWE does not have finalized plans for the new stable that also consists of Xavier Woods and Big E Langston.
July 26, 2014
Xavier Woods formed a stable with Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston on Monday Night Raw this week, and that has led WWE fans to speculate online about other potential members. R Truth has long been rumored to be joining the group, as he had an on screen partnership with Woods in the past. There is also a chance that WWE may simply opt to keep it a three man stable.
July 22, 2014
On Monday Night Raw this week, Xavier Woods, who is only used sporadically on television by WWE, made a surprising appearance after a tag team match featuring Curtis Axel, Ryback, Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston. He cut a quick promo about how Kingston and Langston cannot get very far in WWE by being nice guys. This is the start of the long rumored stable, which has already been compared to the Nation of Domination by fans online.
July 22, 2014
While rumors of a Nation of Domination stable are still floating around, there are also talks that WWE could simply be building up Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston as a tag team because they need a baby face fodder for Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. Management is seriously considering putting the tag titles on the Wyatt Family, and they're going to need more than Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso as challengers.
July 14, 2014
Rumors about a new Nation of Domination should be heating up again today after results from a WWE live event in Japan has hit the internet. Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston worked together as a tag team during the show in Tokyo. The tandom went up against Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. The widespread speculation is that R Truth and Xavier Woods will be joining Langston and Kingston soon to form the new group.
July 10, 2014
Last month, rumors were finally squashed about WWE bringing back the Nation of Domination stable with R Truth, Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston. Speculations have started back up again now that WWE has formed an on screen alliance between Kingston and Langston. Management reportedly canceled the plans previously because they did not want to make it seem like they were copying TNA, which recently launched a stable with MVP, Kenny King and Bobby Lashley.
July 8, 2014
If you've watched Monday Night Raw for the past two weeks, you'll noticed something that has become a bit rare - Kofi Kingston being given televised wins on the flagship show. The former WWE Intercontinental Champion was given pin fall victories over Antonio Cesaro. These wins are notable because Kingston was only given one back at the start of 2014 prior to these two consecutive victories.
July 8, 2014
While he has already been officially added to the match at WWE Battleground 2014, very few people backstage in WWE expect Kofi Kingston to be given much consideration as the new Intercontinental Champion. The belief is that he is simply in the match to act as filler and to produce an entertaining spot, which he has routinely done well for the company.
July 5, 2014
Some more names have been added to the upcoming WWE Intercontinental Championship battle royal. Big E, Curtis Axel, Dolph Ziggler, Rob Van Dam and Ryback are now in the match at WWE Battleground 2014. They join Kofi Kingston, Damien Sandow, Great Khali and Antonio Cesaro. As of right now, the company is favoring the idea of giving the title to Cesaro.

More is expected to be added through the next few weeks.

In a very exciting match, Seth Rollins outlasted Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, Rob Van Dam and Jack Swagger to capture the briefcase at Money in the Bank 2014. WWE wants to continue the war between Ambrose and the Authority, so they had Kane coming out and providing assistance to Rollins. Despite the heel tactic to win the match, the Rollins victory was actually cheered by a good amount of fans.
June 29, 2014
