On the Kevin Steen Show, Davey Richards was asked about his tryout with WWE. The newest TNA star stated that he did not want to sign the developmental deal because he was not keen on moving to Orlando. He also revealed that he turned down the contract, as opposed to being rejected as rumored.
In a move that seems almost too petty to believe, it has now been confirmed that the official WWE account on Twitter is no longer following CM Punk after he walked out before Monday Night Raw this week. The decision could have been made by someone in the marketing or technology department as opposed to Vince McMahon or Triple H.
"Sitting in CLT airport at 4:42am, thinking about how me vs Masato Tanaka at WrestleCon may very well be the craziest match of my career."
- Kevin Steen
WWE has been pushing the wrestlers to use Twitter more often, especially on weekends, in order to get the fans talking more about the performers and company. The belief is that management has noticed how much of a buzz Ryback has been able to create through the social media website.
Kevin Steen has been booked for a huge match at WrestleCon, which is taking place in April in New Orleans. The former ROH Heavyweight Champion will be wrestling Masato Tanaka, a Japanese star and ECW legend who is returning to America just for the event.
During a recent interview, Stephanie McMahon touted the WWE app by revealing that it has been downloaded more than eight million times.
Ring of Honor has issued a statement about Kevin Steen being banned from appearing on their shows. It also notes that anyone that attempts to help him will also be in trouble as well. While the story has some buzzing, it is simply a story line.
