However, the former world heavyweight champion opted to cancel out of the appearance at the last minute, citing some sort of medical emergency involving his son. The promotion was able to replace him with Mick Foley, thus keeping their fan base pleased.

Maryland Championship Wrestling has announced that they are still honoring the contract that they had with the former world heavyweight champion, who agreed to make an appearance at their live event in Joppa on Saturday night. Nash should have no problems with being booked on the indies.

The company was quick to let people know that Nash has not been a regular performer for them since 2004. They stated that the former world heavyweight champion was simply under a Legends contract, which they also revealed has been suspended until the case has been resolved.
