Since the company does not want to lose their top star, New Japan has offered Kazuchika Okada a five year deal. That's not normal because the company generally prefers one year contracts. Since Okada has yet to sign the deal, rumors are heating up that he's seriously considering an offer to join Shinsuke Nakamura in WWE. The company wants them because they want to better promote their online video subscription service overseas.

The reigning IWGP World Heavyweight Champion stated to a wrestling magazine in Japan that he will never sign with World Wrestling Entertainment. The move could be a public relations thing, however, as NJPW recently lost four of their biggest stars. The statement might have been made to appease concerned fans.

The loss of Shinsuke Nakamura to WWE really hurts New Japan, as management already had him penciled in for the main event of Wrestle Kingdom in 2017. The plan was to build up a huge match between Nakamura and Kazuchika Okada. The two of them are involved in the Chaos stable, of which Nakamura was the leader. NJPW could have done a story where Nakamura passes the torch of Chaos leadership to Okada.

The likelihood of Kazuchika Okada ever making a return to TNA appears to be very slim. During a recent interview, the New Japan and ROH star revealed his feelings about the company. He felt that management held him back from being able to wrestle. Okada simply wanted to put on some performances to a new fan base. It appears that he will continue to just work for Ring of Honor when he is in the United States.

Apparently, ROH wants a lot of international talent for their upcoming series of matches in Philadelphia and Toronto. In addition to Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kazuchika Okada, the company has now secured the services of Tetsuya Naito. For those of you that do not remember, the veteran performer worked a couple of matches for TNA, including a handicap match against Kevin Nash on Impact Wrestling. No word yet on who he will be working with.

During the middle of May, New Japan and ROH are teaming up to put on a couple of shows. Two of them will be in Philadelphia at the old ECW arena, while the other two will be held in Toronto. To help make those events even more special, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kazuchika Okada will be featured on the card. No word yet on what matches they are being booked for, but the safe bet is that Ring of Honor will use their top stars against them.
