While it was initially believed that WWE would host Extreme Rules 2014 in Seattle, in order to capitalize on the popularity of Daniel Bryan at the moment, that has been confirmed to be false, as an announcement has now been made that the pay per view will be held in New Jersey instead.
Reports indicated that Vince McMahon was planning on hosting Extreme Rules 2014 in Seattle, but a representative from the Key Arena, the venue rumored to host the event, has issued a public statement, denying that WWE has booked the show there.
Since WWE changed up the plans and decided to put Extreme Rules 2014 in Seattle, it appears that the company is looking to build the pay per view event around Daniel Bryan, as management feels that he should be able to draw a massive reaction from his home crowd.
While he is willing to return for the period between the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania, Rob Van Dam is said to be unwilling to stick around with WWE until Extreme Rules. Management wants the former ECW star for the show, but it goes beyond the three month period that he wants to work.
In addition to his duties as a business man working on launching a new wrestling promotion, Jeff Jarrett is still working as an in ring performer. The TNA founder is heading down to Mexico this upcoming weekend to work a huge tag team main event match for AAA. Karen Jarrett is involved in the show as well.
3AWrestling has booked themselves a pretty big show on March 29 in Ontario. Jeff Jarrett, Jim Duggan, David Hart Smith, Karen Jarrett and Robbie MacAllister (one half of the Highlanders tag team in WWE a few years back) have been signed on as headliners.
Madison Rayne is celebrating her birthday today. The TNA Knockouts Champion is 29 years old now. She has received several birthday wishes on Twitter from wrestlers such as Traci Brooks, Karen Jarrett, Angelina Love and others.
With Jeff Jarrett resigning from TNA and taking bookings on the independent wrestling circuit, it now appears that Karen Jarrett will be doing so as well. The two are willing to make appearances together on shows.
