Kamala not underpaid

Earlier in the year, Kamala revealed that he was paid $13,000 for his Summerslam match in 1992 against the Undertaker, who was paid $500,000. He hinted that racism might have played a part in that. Those within WWE are said to have brushed off the comment, noting that one man was a much bigger draw than the other. It is not unusual for performers to be paid differently even though they are working together.

During a recent interview, Kamala revealed just how big of a pay difference that a black performer like himself made as opposed to a white performer like Undertaker. When the two of them worked a match at Summerslam in 1992, the man legally known as James Harris stated that he received $13,000, while his opponent made around $500,000 for the night.

He also stated that WWE did not pay black performers nearly as much as they did white performers. This statement has been made by others before through the years.

During the interview where he defended Hulk Hogan against allegations of racism, Kamala revealed quite the interesting fact about their feud from the 1980s. He stated that allegedly selfish Hogan actually was quite concerned that the Ugandan Giant was not being paid well enough since the two of them were drawing in the crowds and Hogan was making a really good amount of money.

The Ugandan Giant stated that Hogan is a friend and not a racist. He does not have an ounce of anger towards the former world heavyweight champion.
