Kevin Steen
While online fans are quite aware that Kevin Steen was one of the best performers on the independent wrestling circuit over the last couple of years, WWE is not treating him any more special than other performers that they have in the developmental program. Management views him as just another wrestler, and they're going to keep pushing for him to lose weight before giving him much of a chance at a promotion.
August 13, 2014
AJ Lee
Rumors are going around that Ashley Flair has moved to the front of the line for a promotion from developmental to the main roster in WWE. There are some roadblocks in her way, though. Total Divas is set to become a major focus again very soon, so the writers will put an emphasis on them when writing Monday Night Raw. Flair might also have to wait a bit longer if Paige picks up more momentum in her feud with AJ Lee.

Kevin Steen
Rumors have persisted over the last several months that Kevin Steen was set to sign a developmental contract with WWE. It looks to be official now, as the former ROH champion has posed for a picture with Triple H while wearing a WWE NXT shirt. The belief is that he will be focusing more on his weight and physique than actually training for the in ring stuff.

Ashley Flair
Ever since his return to WWE, Ric Flair has just been floating around, making random appearances and working as a special guest referee at live events. It looks like management may have something for him to do very soon, as Ashley Flair has reportedly been earmarked as the next developmental wrestler to be called up to the main roster.
August 7, 2014
Adam Rose
Despite proving himself to be a valuable commodity on the international circuit for WWE, talks of promoting Sami Zayn to the main roster have died down tremendously as of late. With Bo Dallas and Adam Rose struggling to gain a connection with the audience, the belief is that management is hesitant to bring another person up from developmental at this time.
August 2, 2014
Travis Tyler
When Vince McMahon announced that they were releasing seven percent of their workforce due to the under performing WWE Network, many within the company feared for their jobs. Today, five developmental wrestlers were given their releases. Garrett Dylan, Travis Tyler, Slate Randall, Mac Miles and Dani Jackson are no longer under contract with WWE.
August 1, 2014
Alberto Del Rio
A day before the company is expected to eliminate a lot of jobs, WWE has come to terms on the release of Ricardo Rodriguez, who stated that the decision belonged to him. The former manager of Alberto Del Rio reiterated that he wanted to be an in ring performer again. Rodriguez had been training in developmental in hopes that management would finally give him a chance. When that opportunity appeared dismal, he opted to move on to the next chapter of his career.
July 30, 2014
Tensai
With his in ring career fully behind him now, Tensai has been slowly gaining power backstage in WWE. He impressed management with his ability to function as a color commentator. Now, he has convinced them to let him have a bigger part in the company by training the developmental wrestlers. WWE likes the fact that Tensai has worked overseas and is familiar with a lot of different styles of wrestling.
July 26, 2014
Prince Devitt
Over the last couple of months, there have been plenty of rumors in regards to WWE signing international star Prince Devitt to a contract. Things heated up even more when he left New Japan. Things died down a bit when no announcement was made, but it looks like the rumor mills are heating up again. Reports are surfacing that the deal has now been reached, and he should be showing up to developmental soon.
July 23, 2014
CM Punk
One the things that made Kenta Kobayashi so famous in Japan was his diverse moves set. Unfortunately, though, a lot of his signature maneuvers cannot e utilized in WWE. His Go 2 Sleep finisher is commonly associated with CM Punk nowadays. His knee finisher and submission move are both being used by Daniel Bryan. The belief is that WWE will have him come up with new moves in developmental.
July 20, 2014
Kenta Kobayashi
Triple H might be downplaying his arrival to the developmental program, but Kenta Kobayashi is far from a regular new performer joining WWE. Internally, he is being viewed as a major marketing asset as the company is hoping to expand its reaches in Japan. A television network has already agreed to air WWE NXT since Kobayashi will be featured on those shows. The Japanese star is also set to help promote the WWE Network when it expands overseas.
July 17, 2014
Kevin Steen
While he has already said his farewell to Ring of Honor fans, Kevin Steen is reportedly not under contract to WWE just yet. Word has it that he has yet to complete the medical testing that the company requires all new performers to undergo before signing a deal. If there are any lingering injuries, then there is a chance that Steen might not be picked up by the WWE developmental program.
July 16, 2014
Kenta Kobayashi
Even though he had already established himself as one of the top performers overseas, Kenta Kobayashi is actually being sent to the developmental program by WWE. Management wants him to change up his style a bit and adopt the slower pace style that the company prefers. No word yet on how long Kobayashi will be required to stay down at the WWE Performance Center.

LeiD Tapa
When LeiD Tapa was released by TNA back in March, there were rumors that she might be a candidate to join the WWE developmental program. However, the company has shown very little interest thus far. In fact, she has not even been invited for a tryout yet. While some are citing her lack of experience, which she is trying to fix by working with OVW, many are pointing out that WWE has had no qualms with signing female performers who have absolutely no experience in the wrestling industry before.
July 8, 2014
Adam Rose
Many were under the impression that WWE was not interested in signing Rosita, as nothing took place after she did tryouts with the company. However, there are rumors floating around that management might have had a change of heart. Many see her appearances as an entourage of Adam Rose recently as a sign that WWE will be offering her a developmental contract soon.

Bo Dallas
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Bo Dallas had gotten married. Now, the identity of the bride has been discovered. It's Sarah Backman, a former WWE developmental diva. Brock Lesnar
Earlier in the week, it was revealed that Michelle McCool had visited the WWE Performance Center to help train some of the developmental divas. While she still has every intention of being a stay at home mother and wife, Michelle McCool decided to get out of the house on Monday. She made a visit to the WWE Performance Center. No word yet on why she was there this time around, but she has been known to drop in and help do a little training with the developmental divas. Her appearances always spark rumors of a return to WWE, so don't be surprised if the chatter increases over the next few days.
June 24, 2014
Vince McMahon
After suffering a massive drop a couple of weeks ago, WWE stock started rising this past week. Many within the company attribute that to the release of several wrestlers. That has caused a lot of fear backstage because performers feel that Vince McMahon could take that as a sign for him to release several more people. Rumors are circulating that a lot of developmental wrestlers will be released soon.
June 17, 2014
Eddie Guerrero
While Eddie Guerrero and Vickie Guerrero both became big stars for WWE, their daughter Shaul Guerrero was simply not able to follow in their footsteps. After being released twice from the company's developmental program, she has decided to take a different career path. Shaul has signed up for veterinarian school and has reportedly started attending classes for that.

JTG
While morale is really low backstage due to the recent and severe drop in royalty checks, WWE performers are not speaking out on the matter because they are afraid of Vince McMahon. Many saw what happened to JTG when he voiced his opinion about low pay per view bonus checks. The former Cryme Tyme member was buried for more than a year and recently was given a release form his contract.
July 14, 2014
Tyler Reks
JTG and Shad Gaspard are not the only former WWE tag team doing a reunion. Word going around is that Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks are looking into doing a tour of the independent wrestling circuit together. He had been expecting it for quite some time now. There was an incident a while back where he received major backstage heat from management for speaking out about payment. JTG
If you're a big fan of Cryme Tyme, then get on the phone with the independent wrestling promotion to ask them to book the former WWE tag team. Now that JTG has been given a release by the company, he has decided to reunite with Shad Gaspard, so that the two of them can be booked as a unit on the indies circuit. Combined, they have much more name value, so they can command a higher contract from promoters.

JTG
Since he has been infrequently utilized by the company over the last year, there have long been speculations that JTG will be released by WWE once his contract is up. It appears that there is some merit behind those rumors, as the former Cryme Tyme member has been focused on other business ventures to ensure that his departure from WWE is not too rough.
March 26, 2014
Ezekiel Jackson
In a rather interesting bit of news on two performers that have not been seen in WWE in a while, JTG and Ezekiel Jackson have been working out together. Yoshi Tatsu
There are those in the company that still believe that Vince McMahon is keeping wrestlers on the roster because of Linda McMahon and her ongoing political career.
