After TNA Lockdown 2014, Seiya Sanada is sticking around and working a couple of episodes of Impact Wrestling. The belief is that Dixie Carter and company will be giving him a nice push, as management wants to maintain a good business relationship with the Great Muta and Wrestle-1. They also want to entice other Japanese stars to come tour with them.
John Gaburick, the former WWE executive who now has a lead role in TNA, reportedly has some backstage heat with Eric Young during one of the television tapings on the European tour. The two were arguing over the longevity of a spot filmed for Impact Wrestling.
In a bit of news that will be troublesome to fans who are concerned with his health, Kurt Angle has postponed surgery on his knees. He was initially supposed to go under the knife in January, but pushed that back to work the European tour with TNA, and there's talks that he might postpost it even further than that.
Another potential Knockout being signed by TNA is Shanna, an international star who has wrestled frequently for SHINE. She will be working live events with the company during their current tour of Europe. Depending on how well she performs, a contract could be offered.
For a while there, Aksana had some backstage heat on her in WWE because of her performances during the European tour. However, a lot of that heat has died down tremendously, as she has slowly received more television time. Aksana is also a candidate to join Total Divas next season.
While the company has expressed some interest in picking up the former WWE star, John Morrison isn't likely to sign with TNA any time soon, as he is currently keeping himself rather busy with independent wrestling dates and other projects.
While a lot of fans are clamoring for him to return to WWE, John Morrison is finding himself more and more busy in Hollywood, as the former ECW champion is shooting a new movie next week. He also has five films in post production at the moment.
"If Miz and Morrison never happened, I truly believe that I would have been fired within a year. I think being with Morrison really gave me the opportunity to take risks. It gave me the opportunity to really stand tall in our realm. When we created a thing called The Dirt Sheet, which… Back then, YouTube was just getting going with its popularity. WWE now has its own YouTube channel. It didn't have its own YouTube Channel. It didn't have those internet shows. We were the first. So we kind of became originals and we were doing those sorts of things that were going against the grain because we wanted to get noticed. I think Morrison pushed me and I pushed Morrison to really do the best that we possibly can. We brought the best out of each other, is what I thought."
Since he wanted to pursue his other dreams, John Morrison decided to leave WWE, as the hectic schedule that the company requires of their performers was quite restrictive. Management wanted to sign him to an extension, but Morrison opted to let the contract expire and leave on good terms.
