John Cena

Cena vs Rusev at Extreme Rules

In a move that might not be the wisest, WWE has opted to do a Wrestlemania rematch between John Cena and Rusev at Extreme Rules. It will be a rematch for the United States Heavyweight Championship. Cena is expected to retain the championship throughout the summer, and since fans are already complaining about the Russian sympathizer being buried, this will surely cause even more of a negative reaction from that group.

After making an appearance at Wrestlemania in the corner of Rusev as he dropped the United States Heavyweight Championship to John Cena, Lana returned to the film lot to finish off the Interrogation movie, which also stars WWE legend Edge. Goldust

Rusev push

Fans who put too much emphasis on winning and losing are under the belief that this is the end of the road for Rusev because he was buried by John Cena at Wrestlemania. As Jim Ross has repeatedly tried to explain, that's not how things work in professional wrestling. WWE is already building the Russian sympathizer back up. He was given a squash match against Goldust on Monday Night Raw, and a winning streak is expected to follow.

Cena vs Rusev at Wrestlemania

In the fifth match at Wrestlemania, John Cena successfully defeated Rusev and captured the United States Heavyweight Championship. He did so by shoving his opponent into Lana, who was knocked down from the apron. As Cena celebrated in the ring, the Russian sympathizer berated his blonde bombshell without showing any signs of concerns about her ankle injury before abandoning her at ringside. She was helped by the referee.

Brock Lesnar

John Cena winning

While a lot of WWE fans are overjoyed right now about the Brock Lesnar news, they are about to be brought back down to earth for a bit when they realize that the new contract means that John Cena has a better chance of winning the United States Heavyweight Championship from Rusev at Wrestlemania. Since Lesnar will still be part time, the front office wanted a belt on Cena, so that he can use it to headline live events each week.

Big E Langston

Big E Langston release

Wrestlemania is basically considered the end of the season for WWE, so the front office likes to bring up some fresh faces from NXT to replenish the roster after the big pay per view. Speculations are already surfacing. A potential name on the chopping block is Big E Langston. He is an underrated performer, but management has already placed the glass ceiling over him, it seems. Not even a recommendation from John Cena was enough to help give him a push.
