Management felt that the move would encourage fans to tune into the WWE Network to see him. They were also hoping that some fans would be enticed into signing up for the online subscription due to the move.

Earlier in the week, it was revealed that Alberto Del Rio was going to be signing with two different wrestling promotions at the beginning of 2015. Reports have surfaced that one of those companies will be TNA. Del Rio is said to be adamant about being able to work in Mexico again, and TNA provides a bit more freedom than the bigger corporation up north. The belief is that the announcement can be made as soon as January.

A couple of years back, fans witnessed a real life shoot incident in the ring between JBL and the Blue Meanie. Some blood was involved. Apparently, the two of them have resolved their issues since then, as JBL took to Twitter to wish the Blue Meanie a happy birthday.
