John Cena returning early

As soon as Seth Rollins went down with an ACL injury, the belief was that WWE would be contacting John Cena to see an early return would be possible. To their credit, management has not done that. Instead, they are opting to respect his wish for time off to focus on other projects and heal up from his various injuries in the ring. No exact time frame has been announced, but he should be back before the Royal Rumble.

Nikki Bella not returning yet

On Monday, rumors had surfaced that Nikki Bella was going to be making her return to WWE because she posted on social media that she was heading to Europe. It turns out that the trip is family related. Nikki is taking her 83 year old grandmother to visit London and Paris. That means that her return will not be happening this week. No word yet on whether or not John Cena is accompanying them on the vacation.

Mysterio praises Del Rio

Through social media, Rey Mysterio congratulated Alberto Del Rio for returning to WWE and winning the United States Heavyweight Championship from John Cena at Hell in a Cell. Mysterio also mentioned that WWE needed the presence of Del Rio in their company. As many of you already know, World Wrestling Entertainment has been desperately trying to win back their fans in Mexico.

Backstage heat on John Cena

Rumors are floating around that there is backstage heat on John Cena for wanting to take time off while WWE is struggling with numbers. Those were more than likely sparked by the fact that he lost cleanly to a returning Alberto Del Rio. In actuality, though, there is said to be no issues with Cena taking time off. Management was already informed as to the reason why he is going off the road for a couple of months.

Jericho interviewing Guerrero

As many of you know by now, John Cena was the very first guest on the Chris Jericho podcast interview show that he is doing for WWE. His second guest is a rather interesting one as well. Jericho will be having a discussion with Vickie Guerrero on Wednesday. She will more than likely talk about what she has been doing since leaving the wrestling business. It will be interesting if Jericho asks about why she refused an offer to return.

Lana finishes movie

After making an appearance at Wrestlemania in the corner of Rusev as he dropped the United States Heavyweight Championship to John Cena, Lana returned to the film lot to finish off the Interrogation movie, which also stars WWE legend Edge. Filming has been completely wrapped up now, so the blonde beauty will be making her way back to television. Her first appearance will be on the next episode of Smackdown.

Hulk Hogan opponent

It seems like Hulk Hogan is asked at least once a week about a potential return to the ring. It happened again this week while he was promoting Wrestlemania. The former world heavyweight champion stated that it would only work out if WWE let him work with a top level performer who is already massively popular with the audience. Hogan listed Roman Reigns, Steve Austin, The Rock and John Cena as potential opponents.

Randy Orton pulled

As soon as he made his return to WWE at the live events over the weekend, the belief was that Randy Orton was going to make an appearance on Monday Night Raw this week. There were actually plans in the works for that to happen, but management decided to pull the angle because they came up with a better story involving Edge, Seth Rollins and John Cena, which resulted in the return of The Authority. Orton showed up after the cameras went dark.

The Authority returns to WWE

Those of you that watched the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, saw the return of The Authority at the end of the evening. It was a plot concocted by Seth Rollins, where the heels threatened to permanently paralyze Edge if John Cena did not agree to bring Triple H and Stephanie McMahon back into power. It worked, as Cena finally caved in. The plan was to bring the stable back all along. WWE just needed to wait until the right moment to pull the trigger.

Ryback putting over Rusev

When Ryback made his return to WWE not too long ago, many were surprised that he was given a pretty good push by management. Many were under the belief that he was going to be pushed back into the main event again after spending a good amount of time on the under card. However, rumors are now floating around that the big guy was only being built up, so that Rusev could have someone to work against before moving up to work a program with John Cena.
