In a move that comes as no surprise, John Cena has confirmed that he will not be performing at Wrestlemania 32 this year due to an injury. Some in the company were hoping that he would have a miraculous recovery and a be a last minute addition because the card desperately needs drawing power. Unfortunately, Cena simply could not take that risk this time around. Expect the former WWE Heavyweight Champion to still be at the show, though.

Since John Cena is out with an injury, WWE is lacking in star power for Wrestlemania. There are talks that Randy Orton might be convinced to try to come back early so that he can add his name to the big pay per view. Orton doesn't draw as much as Cena, but he is better than the majority of the other guys on the World Wrestling Entertainment roster. His presence will definitely be needed that weekend.

As soon as Seth Rollins went down with an ACL injury, the belief was that WWE would be contacting John Cena to see an early return would be possible. To their credit, management has not done that. Instead, they are opting to respect his wish for time off to focus on other projects and heal up from his various injuries in the ring. No exact time frame has been announced, but he should be back before the Royal Rumble.

Despite suffering some sort of injury a couple of days earlier, John Cena continued to work matches at the live events over the weekend. The former world heavyweight champion has a history of working through injuries as much as he possibly can because he genuinely does not want to disappoint the paying audience. It also saves WWE from having to offer refunds to fans who paid to see Cena.

Over the weekend, the former world heavyweight champion worked a match against Kevin Owens at a live event. While performing his modified sunset flip, he appeared to have suffered some sort of injury. Reports are saying that it could be a neck or nose injury. Cena managed to finish the match.

In a sign that his broken nose injury might be a lot more serious than the internet wrestling community believes, John Cena has not only been pulled from live events and telvision, the United States Heavyweight Champion has also been removed from the upcoming tour of Australia. That is a pretty serious move because WWE knows that Cena is quite the draw in that country.

Over the weekend, John Cena worked a live event in Louisiana. While delivering the Attitude Adjustment to Wade Barrett, his nose ended up being busted. The United States Heavyweight Champion grabbed a towel immediately after the match. He then got on the microphone to let the fans know about his injury. Despite the damage done to his face, the belief is that Cena will still be more than willing to work Money in the Bank.

That has not prevented him from working matches for WWE and working out hard at the gym. The feeling is that he will not take time away from the road unless he is suffering from a major injury. Cena worked the tour of Europe despite receiving a pretty serious eye injury during a match with Cody Rhodes.

In the fifth match at Wrestlemania, John Cena successfully defeated Rusev and captured the United States Heavyweight Championship. He did so by shoving his opponent into Lana, who was knocked down from the apron. As Cena celebrated in the ring, the Russian sympathizer berated his blonde bombshell without showing any signs of concerns about her ankle injury before abandoning her at ringside. She was helped by the referee.
