Mick Foley defends John Cena

When it comes to John Cena, Mick Foley absolutely hates it when fans try to disregard positive things that he does because they do not like for whatever reason. The hardcore legend pointed out how tough Cena was for continuing the match on Monday Night Raw after having his nose terribly broken. He stated that Cena might actually be as tough as he was during his career.

John Cena busted nose

Over the weekend, John Cena worked a live event in Louisiana. While delivering the Attitude Adjustment to Wade Barrett, his nose ended up being busted. The United States Heavyweight Champion grabbed a towel immediately after the match. He then got on the microphone to let the fans know about his injury. Despite the damage done to his face, the belief is that Cena will still be more than willing to work Money in the Bank.

Vince Russo on Sami Zayn

Never one to avoid controversy, Vince Russo has drawn the ire of the internet wrestling community yet again. The source of discontent stems from the fact that he took to social media to say that Sami Zayn, who made his debut on Monday Night Raw this week, was not a television star yet. He stated that while the hardcore fans might know of him, the masses just assumed that he was some jobber that was in the ring with John Cena.

WWE live event changes

Fans attending WWE live events this upcoming weekend might be in for a bit of disappointment if they were looking forward to see John Cena and Randy Orton. The two of them have been pulled from the road. Management is going to try to supplement the show by having Seth Rollins defending the heavyweight championship against Roman Reigns on one tour. The other will be headlined by Rusev, Dean Ambrose and Ryback.

Cena vs Rusev chain match

In a Russian Chain match at Extreme Rules, John Cena managed to successfully retain his United States Heavyweight Championship by defeating Rusev. The match was not as brutal as usual, but that should have been expected because the demographic has changed tremendously over the years. WWE helped the Russian symphatizer gain some heel heat by having him send Lana to the back because the fans were cheering for her.

Cena vs Rusev at Extreme Rules

In a move that might not be the wisest, WWE has opted to do a Wrestlemania rematch between John Cena and Rusev at Extreme Rules. It will be a rematch for the United States Heavyweight Championship. Cena is expected to retain the championship throughout the summer, and since fans are already complaining about the Russian sympathizer being buried, this will surely cause even more of a negative reaction from that group.

Rusev push

Fans who put too much emphasis on winning and losing are under the belief that this is the end of the road for Rusev because he was buried by John Cena at Wrestlemania. As Jim Ross has repeatedly tried to explain, that's not how things work in professional wrestling. WWE is already building the Russian sympathizer back up. He was given a squash match against Goldust on Monday Night Raw, and a winning streak is expected to follow.
