Chris Jericho

John Cena scholarship

During his podcast interview with Chris Jericho, John Cena revealed just how he close he was to turning heel during his feud against The Rock. It was to the point where he spent $5,000 to have new ring gear created for his heel persona. However, WWE scrapped that idea. Instead of asking for a refund, Cena told the seamstress to put that money towards developmental wrestlers that come to her for new apparel. Yet another good deed by Cena.

Tyson Kidd

ROH stars in WWE

As good as NXT is, it appears that ROH is a better developmental program for WWE. All but two of their current male champions come from that promotion. Seth Rollins is the world champion. Daniel Bryan holds the Intercontinental Championship. Kevin Owens and Antonio Cesaro both hold titles. The only two guys that never worked for that promotion are Tyson Kidd and John Cena. The two divas champion never worked there.

Finn Balor

Finn Balor at Wrestlemania

While it is very unlikely that he will be called up from developmental and build up enough momentum to get a spot on the card, Finn Balor revealed during an interview with MTV who his dream opponent at Wrestlemania would be. The NXT star stated that he would love to work against John Cena. Balor feels that Cena has been the hardest working guy in the industry over the last dozen years, so it would be an honor to wrestle him.

Mojo Rowley concerns

Within the developmental roster, Mojo Rowley is one of the guys that WWE views as a future main event performer on the main roster. Some are even saying that he can some day take the torch from John Cena, which is really high praise and hard to believe. Management is a bit concerned with him lately, as they feel that his connection with the audience has died down considerably. It might get worse because he needs time off to heal his injuries.
