As many of you already know, GFW will be presenting their first pay per view on January 4, 2015 from Tokyo. As part of the broadcasting agreement that was signed with New Japan, Jeff Jarrett agreed to work as an in ring performer on the show. He will be teaming up with Bullet Club members Bad Luck Fale and Yujiro Takahashi to take on Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Satoshi Kojima and Tomoaki Honma in a six man tag team match that night.

Randy Orton

Jericho turns down WWE movie

During his much talked about podcast interview with Colt Cabana, CM Punk revealed that he was up for the lead role of 12 Rounds Reloaded, but Randy Orton got the part instead. Those were not the only two wrestlers that were being considered by WWE at the time. John Cena was the first choice, as management wanted him to reprise his character from the first movie. It has now also been discovered that Chris Jericho turned down the role as well.

Rollins and Orton backstage heat

Rumors are floating around right now that there is backstage heat between Randy Orton and Seth Rollins over comments made by the latter during an interview with the Sun, a well known publication based out of England. This particular rumor is not true, as Rollins was speaking in character about how Orton harbors jealousy towards him and some of the newer guys in the company. Many were under the belief that Rollins was speaking on a personal level.

Reigns and Show backstage heat

There are speculations floating around right now that Big Show and Roman Reigns have legitimate heat after an incident that took place during the latest episode of Monday Night Raw. Reigns delivered a punch to Show, and it looked a lot stiffer than it should. Show appeared to be legitimately upset with Reigns, and that fueled the rumors. It should be noted that Show is quite the professional and a fairly good actor when he is not doing forced comedy.

When word broke out that he was going to be doing a podcast interview with Chris Jericho, many were under the impression that Ryback was going to speak out on the allegations thrown at him by CM Punk. However, it appears that WWE advised him to scale back on the verbal assault. The Big Guy addressed the issues, but stated that he no longer takes it personal. He even wished Punk the best in his new pursuit to become a star in UFC.

WWE doubting Roman Reigns

While the plans for his major push are still in place, there is reportedly a growing number of people backstage in WWE that are doubting Roman Reigns and his ability to carry the company. They desperately need someone else besides John Cena to carry the burden, but Reigns is not showing as much improvement as management had hoped for. There's a certain standard that the company wants for their main event guys, and he's not there yet.

During a recent podcast interview with Jim Ross, Jeff Jarrett shared his vision for GFW. He stated that he wanted to do things differently than what Vince McMahon is doing with WWE, hinting that the company was a bit of a standalone monopoly. Jarrett stated that he formed partnerships with companies around the world, such as AAA and New Japan, because he feels that wrestling would be healthier if everyone worked together with a common goal.

The decision has now been made to send Curtis Axel, a veteran that is well trusted by the management team because he's a very solid in ring performer, down to NXT to make that happen. The two of them will work the main event match on January 1, 2015, down in Florida.

CM Punk endorses Young Bucks

The Young Bucks were given a major pat on the back by CM Punk during an interview with the Huffington post this week. When asked if he would ever consider making a special return to the independent wrestling circuit for a match, Punk stated that he does not want to give false hope to wrestling fans who have been clamoring for him to make a comeback. However, he did list the brother tandem as potential opponents, should he change his mind.
