Wrestlemania tag team title match

In the opening match of the Wrestlemania kickoff show, Antonio Cesaro and Tyson Kidd managed to successfully retain the tag team championship in a match that also featured Big E Langston, Kofi Kingston, Diego, Fernando, Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso. Jimmy was written out of the match almost immediately because he is injured in real life. After several high spots, the match ended when Cesaro pinned Langston.

Jey Uso working hurt

Since it is never a good idea in WWE to ruin plans at Wrestlemania, rumors are floating around that Jey Uso is going to attempt to wrestle at the pay per view. The belief is that the backstage agents are going to work the match around in a way where Jimmy Uso does most of the heavy lifting for the team. Fortunately for everyone involved, the match will consists of several competitors, so it should be easier to mask things.

It looks like WWE will actually showcase their tag team championship at Wrestlemania this year. As of right now, there are plans penciled in to do a title match featuring four different teams. Management is still undecided about a championship scramble or a simple fatal four way. The rumored contestants for the match are Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Tyson Kidd, Antonio Cesaro, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, Big E Langston, Diego and Fernando.

Usos at Wrestlemania

While many are under the assumption that Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso are going to get a shot at the WWE Tag Team Championship at Wrestlemania, management might actually be heading in another direction. It could end up being a six person mixed tag team match instead. The Usos would team with Naomi, while Antonio Cesaro and Tyson Kidd would be paired up with Natalya. The belief is that this story could be an interesting one for Total Divas.

Inducting Rikishi

While the company would love for The Rock to be a part of their hall of fame ceremony at Wrestlemania this year, WWE will have to settle for an alternative when it comes to inducting Rikishi. As of right now, management has Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso being the ones to induct their father. There is still a chance that the company could end up getting someone else from the famous Samoan family, but as of right now, the brothers make the most sense.

When they first started teaming up, a lot of fans were under the belief that Tyson Kidd and Antonio Cesaro were thrown together at the last minute and would not last very long. Apparently, WWE has different plans in mind. Management has been impressed with their work and feel that they could be an asset to the tag team division. There is now a strong chance that they take the championship from Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso at Fast Lane.

Naomi turning heel

In case you're wondering what WWE has planned with the story line involving Jimmy Uso and The Miz, the current idea being floated around backstage is that this will eventually lead to a heel turn for Naomi, where the diva would receive a big push and a potential title reign. Management has long been a big fan of her work, especially since she displays so much athleticism, desire and dedication. Her removal from Total Divas was said to be a tough choice.

Jimmy and Naomi upset

Based on their tone, it appears that Jimmy Uso and wife are none too pleased about being removed from the cast of Total Divas next season. Uso has been sharing social media messages from fans, stating that they will no longer watch the show unless WWE put the couple back where they belong. The belief is that Naomi was hoping that the extra exposure would help out her budding music career. Management is unlikely to put them back on the show.

Total Divas drops Naomi

When reports leaked that Naomi was going to be removed from Total Divas, there were naturally questions from fans as to why she was being removed. Some wondered if there was some backstage heat involved. Reports have now surfaced that is not the case at all. It was simply a matter of WWE not needing her on the show any more now that she and Jimmy Uso are married. The other couples will provide plenty of marriage drama.
