Health issues have plagued Jimmy Snuka over the past couple of years. The legendary performer battled stomach cancer for quite some time. Late in 2016, he was moved to hospice care, where he was informed that he only had a couple of months to live. Unfortunately, medical experts were right. Snuka has died at the age of 73, and it has been confirmed by his daughter and WWE performer Tamina Snuka. The sad piece of news comes shortly after a judge declared that the man famously known as Superfly was not mentally fit to stand trial for the murder of an ex girlfriend.

Tamina Snuka took to Instagram to say goodbye to her father and shared what he meant to her life.
All eyes are now on WWE to see if the company will acknowledge the passing of one of their most popular performers in history. Snuka was inducted into the hall of fame back in 2006. However, management had to make the difficult decision of separating themselves from the high flyer once it was publicly known that he was facing murder charges. Moves like that have been routinely done to appease shareholders.
The one thing that might help Snuka be honored by WWE is the fact that the judge did dismiss his case, so he never actually stood trial for the death of Nancy Argentino. While there are a lot of people who believe that Snuka was involved in the death, he still has many fans that would love to see a ten bell salute taking place at the beginning of Monday Night Raw. That extremely difficult decision falls squarely on the shoulders of Vince McMahon and his top advisers backstage.
