Jim Ross resentment

During an interview this week, Jim Ross gave fans a little bit of a nugget. He revealed that there is a good amount of resentment towards him from the current group of broadcasters in WWE. Majority of that is not his fault, as guys like Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler, JBL and Booker T have grown tired of hearing fans complaining about their work on social media and demanding that Ross be brought back into the company and give his old job back.

Shawn Michaels at NXT

The wrestlers in NXT got a nice little treat last night at their event. They got to hang out a little bit with Shawn Michaels, who watched the show from the backstage area instead of being in the audience like Jim Ross. While WWE would love for Michaels to sign on as a trainer for the developmental program, he simply has not expressed a desire to take on that job full time. He doesn't mind going in once in a while to provide pointers, however.

Jim Ross on Bill DeMott

During a radio interview with At The Fights, Jim Ross shared his feelings towards Bill DeMott. The former stated that the latter was a fair man and a tough guy. However, Ross also stated that DeMott might not have been the right person for the job. WWE needed someone who could see the bigger picture better than DeMott, whom Ross stated would have been great as an assistant trainer. Ross also noted that DeMott was politically incorrect.

When the company decided to move him from the Monday Night Raw commentating table to Smackdown's lesser watched crew, it became clear to observant people that Jerry Lawler was being demoted by WWE. His job security, though, remains fairly high. He still has name value and a good amount of fans. Plus, management is afraid that another wresting promotion will sign Lawler and team him up with Jim Ross.

Kevin Nash in GFW

Once Mike Tenay was forced to turn down their offer because TNA officials reportedly felt that it was a conflict of interest, Jeff Jarrett looked at other candidates to join Jim Ross during the first GFW pay per view taking place in Japan next month. Several candidates were interviewed, and one of which really stood out above the rest. Kevin Nash was said to have been in discussion for the commentating job, but his focus right now is on Hollywood.
