One of those names that has already received an offer is Shawn Michaels. He revealed that to Jim Ross on his podcast show this week. Michaels stated that he was not interested in working backstage with WWE because he no longer has the passion required, but he did not rule out an in ring return.

It has now been revealed that Jim Ross was the one that made the call to the front office to set things in motion. He did it because of his connection to Kevin Von Erich. The third generation stars have some experience, but the belief is that they would benefit tremendously from the NXT developmental program.

Some have criticized him for giving a political answer. That did not sit well with Ross, who made it a point to respond online. He stated that his main goal is to work a match against Brock Lesnar at the next Wrestlemania for the heavyweight championship. He stated that he doesn't care if he has to go through the developmental program in NXT to achieve that goal. Joe is hoping that WWE opts to put him on the main roster immediately, though.
