Samoa Joe visits WWE

Rumors spread on Thursday that Samoa Joe met with WWE officials to negotiate a developmental contract. It is now looking more and more likely that it did happen, as Jim Ross himself has confirmed that he saw Joe earlier in the day. Ross is in Orlando, where the performance center happens to be, to tape a show with Mick Foley for the Network. The belief is that Joe will sign a deal and start with NXT around June of 2015.

Jim Ross helping Von Erichs

Earlier in the week, it was revealed that Ross Von Erich and Marshall Von Erich were going to be receiving tryouts with WWE. It has now been revealed that Jim Ross was the one that made the call to the front office to set things in motion. He did it because of his connection to Kevin Von Erich. The third generation stars have some experience, but the belief is that they would benefit tremendously from the NXT developmental program.

Shawn Michaels

Shawn Michaels at NXT

The wrestlers in NXT got a nice little treat last night at their event. They got to hang out a little bit with Shawn Michaels, who watched the show from the backstage area instead of being in the audience like Jim Ross. While WWE would love for Michaels to sign on as a trainer for the developmental program, he simply has not expressed a desire to take on that job full time. He doesn't mind going in once in a while to provide pointers, however.
