Brock Lesnar
It was heavily speculated that Brock Lesnar would be taking time off after Wrestlemania 30, and it looks like the rumors are true. Stephanie McMahon
During a WWE Business Partner Summit, Stephanie McMahon revealed that the company will be completely shifting over to a new logo, which happens to be the current one used for the WWE Network, by Summerslam 2014. Management has been slowly replacing the logos over the last several weeks and will keep doing so until August.

Roman Reigns
While he has lost a bit of momentum since Royal Rumble 2014, there are still plans in WWE to give Roman Reigns a big push. Since the Shield pulled a face turn recently, there are talks of elevating Reigns to the point where he can be booked in a match against Triple H at Summerslam 2014. The hope there is that HHH can make him into a star by giving him a memorable match.
April 12, 2014
Damien Sandow
On Monday Night Raw this week, rumors about Rob Van Dam making his return to WWE turned out to be true. He came back and defeated Damien Sandow in a quick squash. Since he likes to take breaks in between wrestling, fans natural wondered how long he would be staying with WWE this time around. Right now, it appears that he will be leaving after Summerslam 2014.
April 8, 2014
Undertaker
While a lot of rumors are suggesting that he is going to retire, those backstage in WWE believe that there is still a possibility that we will get another Undertaker return in the near future. Some feel that he will want to have his last match be a victory at one of the other pay per view events, such as Summerslam 2014 or Royal Rumble 2015.
April 8, 2014
Jonathan Coachman
It appears that WWE will soon be receiving more coverage on ESPN, as some sort of deal is being finalized between the two sides. Jonathan Coachman, who dropped hints earlier about the deal, will be heavily involved, as he has worked for both companies. Wrestlemania 30 and Summerslam 2014 will be receiving a good amount of coverage.
April 5, 2014
Batista
One of the reasons why WWE has been utilizing the two of them together on Monday Night Raw and Smackdown lately is because management is trying to build up a potential main event match between Batista and Daniel Bryan at Summerslam 2014. Batista is expected to be the focal point of the show since his movie comes out in August.
March 8, 2014
Rob Van Dam
While a confirmed date has not been given, we now have a narrowed down time frame for when Rob Van Dam is expected to return to WWE. He initially wanted to return in time for Wrestlemania 30, but there was not a spot on the show for him. Now, the former world heavyweight champion is aiming to return before Summerslam 2014.
March 2, 2014
Jim Ross

Now that he is back on good terms with the company after the incident at Summerslam 2013 that cost Jim Ross his job, Ric Flair is being heavily rumored to join the stacked episode of Monday Night Raw on February 24, the same night that WWE Network launches. He will be needed to help promote WCW and NWA content on the network.

February 11, 2014
Vince McMahon

Vince McMahon is a big fan of tradition, and it appears that he has found one that he really likes. During Monday Night Raw, it was announced to the live audience that Summerslam 2014 will be taking place in Los Angeles at the Staples Center. This will mark the sixth consecutive year that the event has been held in the city.

February 10, 2014
Jim Ross
During an interview with Newsday, where he was asked about the incident that led to his forced retirement from WWE, Jim Ross again made it a point to deny that he had been drinking with Ric Flair during Summerslam 2013 weekend. The commentator stated that he was involved in other activities during the day.
February 6, 2014
Dolph Ziggler

While many people are already aware that Dolph Ziggler is being punished by WWE over the last several months, not many are aware as to the exact reason why. Rumor is that he has backstage heat with Randy Orton over comments he made during an interview around the time of Summerslam.

January 22, 2014
Batista

Batista is scheduled to make his WWE return tonight at Monday Night Raw, and it has now been confirmed that he is indeed backstage at the event. Earlier today, he joked about how he should have returned at Summerslam instead of the Royal Rumble because of the cold weather in Ohio.

January 20, 2014
Batista

WWE has already started looking into possible opponents for Batista, and it looks like CM Punk has been chosen. The two of them are currently penciled in for a big match at Summerslam after Punk works his program against Triple H.

January 4, 2014
Triple H

While Triple H is publicly supporting the idea, WWE really is not interested in doing a Summerslam pay per view in London because the logistics simply do not work in their favor.

November 17, 2013
Kaitlyn

Dolph Ziggler needed help from a WWE diva to gain revenge on former on screen girlfriend AJ Lee and best friend Big E Langston, so he enlisted the help of Kaitlyn. Ziggler and Kaitlyn were victorious at the Summerslam pay per view.

August 18, 2013
Jimmy Uso

The Usos put on a tremendous performance during the pre show match at Monday in the Bank and have been putting in a good effort with the audience, so WWE is rewarding them with a spot on the main card of Summerslam.

July 23, 2013
Miz

Despite being a former WWE Champion, the Miz is being left off of the Summerslam pay per view as an in ring performer. The company opted not to give him a match on one of their biggest events of the year. Instead, he will be hosting the show.

July 23, 2013
Dennis Condrey
One of the biggest mysteries in professional wrestling involves Dennis Condrey and his decision to walk away from the Midnight Express. When asked about the situation, Bobby Eaton said that his former tag team partner basically left without saying a word to him for two years. Condrey reportedly did not inform Jim Cornette or the NWA, either.

Jim Cornette
While a lot of performers will say that they always wanted to be involved in the professional wrestling industry, Jim Cornette actually means it. The legendary NWA manager started working in the business when he was just 14 years old, serving as a photographer, ring announcer, magazine correspondent and as a public relations person.

Colt Cabana
"Yeah, a lot of people tweeted it towards me. I think he is entitled to his opinion. You can't fault people for having an opinion. Luckily for me, I've never been put in a position to hire and fire people, and he was in that position and he can't hire everybody. I'm one of the people that Jim Cornette didn't want. Obviously the people that he didn't want aren't going to be happy about it. That's life. I could hold a grudge, but I don't. I understand that you have to hire and you have to fire and the ones that you fire aren't going to be happy. It's about going on and moving on. Luckily, I've done way bigger and better things since leaving Ring of Honor. Maybe it was a mistake by them for letting me go, and maybe it wasn't if they're happy with the direction that they've gone. I don't hold any grudge against Jim. I'm almost kind of thankful that I was able to go on to better places in my career." - Colt Cabana addresses the backstage heat he has with Jim Cornette

Jim Cornette
During a recent interview, Jim Cornette was asked about his backstage heat with Kevin Steen. The longtime NWA manager stated that he was not sure why Steen hated him. Cornette did promote himself by stating that he was the one that got Steen a better contract, a long title reign in ROH and a few other perks.
March 19, 2014
Stan Lane
While Jim Cornette managed to gain some attention recently by stating that he would accept a hall of fame induction from WWE, there is very little chance of the Midnight Express being given the honors. Management really does not feel that Bobby Eaton, Stan Lane and Dennis Condrey are marketable enough to their current fan base.
March 11, 2014
Jim Cornette
Despite all of his issues with the company, Jim Cornette recently revealed in an interview that he would be open to a hall of fame induction for himself and the Midnight Express if WWE were to ask him. The belief is that the company would induct Bobby Eaton, Dennis Condrey and Stan Lane together if they decided to go that route.

Jim Cornette
"With Brock I'll be honest with you, he was getting paid about four or five times more than everyone else in the developmental programme because of who he was. You don't come across an athletic specimen like that who won the NCAA Heavyweight Championship everyday. However he was not a natural wrestling fan, not a natural wrestling student, he was a bit boring in the ring to be honest because he wasn't used to being a showman. Also for a world class athlete I didn't think he was trying five times as hard as his salary." - Jim Cornette discusses Brock Lesnar as a developmental wrestler
February 14, 2014
Ric Flair
"John came from California, we got him really early on in his career but you could tell he was a natural, I thought he would actually be this generations version of a Ric Flair. He was a heel then, and he was so cocky, arrogant and good looking he had the physique and the genetics, he could talk but they decided to go a different direction with him and he got over just as big on the other side." - Jim Cornette discusses John Cena as a developmental wrestler
February 12, 2014
Vince McMahon
While most fans have probably never even heard of him, Bobby Fulton did get a brief stint in WWE. It was during the summer of 1997 when he was given tryout matches against Tommy Rogers, whom he teamed with as the Fantastics. He stated that Jim Cornette used them to convince Vince McMahon to start a light heavyweight division.

Dixie Carter

"You know they are changing their website, you haven't heard about this? You haven't heard about TNA changing their website? Instead of TNAWrestling.com it is going to be TNAWrestling.org because it's a non-profit organization. Actually they have come up with a new strategy for 2014, Dixie Carter keeps teasing these big, major ideas. She finally hit on a genius idea that I think is going to turn TNA around in 2014. Starting on the first, they are going to let all of the fans in the shows for free and charge them to get out."

Triple H

"Well, I would love to give you an opinion, but I am clean and sober from WWE programming for several years now, and I do read what is going on, but it seems like it's more of the same. In my opinion, he was never the star, he was always the guy that worked with the guy that drew the money, and he continues to push his boring self down the people's throats. You know, what more can I say, I haven't seen it first hand, but at least he got a haircut."
