Daniel Bryan
Yesterday, it was revealed that WWE had pulled Daniel Bryan from the upcoming European tour in November. The former world heavyweight champion was scheduled to make appearances at the live events on that continent. Reports are now surfacing that management made the decision to pull him from the tour because Bryan has received confirmation from doctors that a second surgery is needed to repair his neck injury.

Ryback
When word broke that Ryback was injured, there were some reports of skepticism from WWE officials that there really was no injury. However, the legitimacy of his health has been proven, as Ryback has posted a video of himself in the hospital. He clearly did go under the knife. It is being said that Ryback has worked with strained groins and hernias for the last year.
August 28, 2014
Mick Foley
Considering the amount of pain that he withstood for the sake of entertaining fans over the years, it is a bit surprising that Mick Foley did not spend more time on the sidelines. He has retired from WWE now, but an injury is preventing him from working. Back issues have prompted the former world heavyweight champion to cancel an upcoming appearance in Denver. No word yet on whether or not it will be rescheduled.
August 27, 2014
Curtis Axel
Since Ryback is on the shelf for a couple of weeks, it will be interesting to see what WWE does with Curtis Axel. There were already plans being discussed a couple of weeks ago to split up the tag team, so it should come as no surprise if management opted to use the injury as an excuse to accelerate those plans. WWE no longer believes that Axel is worthy of being a top level guy, but they do believe he can still be a useful member of the roster.

Wade Barrett
Patience isn't always a virtue in WWE. Wade Barrett was initially told by doctors that he would not be able to make his return to the ring until December. However, the company has a big tour of Europe in November. Since Barrett is viewed as a bit of a draw on that continent, WWE has started advertising his appearances. The belief is that Barrett will rush back from the injury to work those shows.
August 27, 2014
Ryback
There was a little bit of a buzz earlier in the week when Ryback posted a message about taking time off from WWE. It escalated a bit further when he deleted the comment from Twitter, which is something that he has done several times in the past. It has now been confirmed that he suffered some sort of injury and will be needing a few weeks off of the road to recover.
August 27, 2014
Rey Mysterio
While it appears that he is still under contract to WWE, it does not seem like the company is going to be bringing Rey Mysterio back to television, even after his hand injury heals. The two sides are greatly at odds right now, and it seems like management is more concerned about preventing him from going to another company at this point. A reconciliation seems unlikely right now.
August 24, 2014
Alexander Rusev
Rumors are floating around right now that WWE officials were not too pleased with the performance that Alexander Rusev put on at Summerslam 2014 in his flag match against Jack Swagger. His selling of an ankle injury was sub par, and the manner in which he sold it was not very fitting of his character. WWE really wants him in the main event scene, so they're paying much more attention to his matches than usual.
August 21, 2014
Shelton Benjamin
Another speed bump has presented itself in the career of Shelton Benjamin. The former Intercontinental Champion has suffered a serious knee injury while working in Japan. He is expected to miss a couple of months of action because of the surgery. Benjamin was sidelined earlier in the year when he had surgery on his elbow, but he recovered much quicker than expected from that injury.
August 17, 2014
Davey Richards
While working a tag team match with Eddie Edwards at a TNA live event in Pennsylvania, Davey Richards suffered a serious leg injury. Upon being rushed to the hospital, it was discovered that he has a broken fibula. Richards is expected to be out of action for approximately 6 weeks, which means that TNA will need to figure out what they want to do with the tag team titles.
August 16, 2014
Evan Bourne
The belief within the industry is that Evan Bourne is hoping to make a return to WWE some day. He recently did a shoot interview, but the video was rather tame. He did not reveal too many secrets, and he did not show a ton of animosity towards the company. If Bourne can show that he can stay sober and injury free, then WWE might be willing to give him another chance since he did have a little bit of a fan base.
August 15, 2014
Rebel
Those that are hoping to see Rebel doing more matches in TNA are going to have to wait. The Knockout injured her arm while working a battle royal for an upcoming episode of Impact Wrestling. The belief is that the injury took place during a spot that involved the steel steps. Many think that she is a bit inexperienced, even though she has trained in OVW.
August 14, 2014
Dean Ambrose
On Monday Night Raw, fans saw Rob Van Dam being pulled from a Beat the Clock match against Seth Rollins. He was replaced by Heath Slater, who got the surprising win, thanks to distractions from Dean Ambrose. It turns out that WWE did that because RVD is actually not cleared to wrestle. He is still recovering from an unknown injury. For what it's worth, it appears that he might be fine soon, as the former world heavyweight champion is scheduled to head to Australia for the tour.
August 6, 2014
Rob Van Dam
Fans who watched WWE Battleground 2014 noticed that Rob Van Dam did not perform. It has now been revealed that the former world heavyweight champion was forced to miss the pay per view because of an undisclosed injury. An update has been promised by WWE in regards to the nature of the ailment. No word yet on whether or not RVD will be missing time from the road.
July 21, 2014
Wade Barrett
While many were afraid that the injury would cause him to lose his push, the fact that management has Wade Barrett scheduled to make an appearance at WWE Battleground 2014 is a good sign that the elevation will continue once he makes his return. The belief is that Barrett will be handing over the Intercontinental Championship to the winner of the battle royal, while planting the seeds for a future feud.
July 15, 2014
Bray Wyatt
A black eye usually is not something to be proud of. It is, however, when you're a lifelong wrestling fan being punched by one of the greatest performers that the industry has ever seen. Bray Wyatt received a black eye during a big live event at Madison Square Garden in New York City over the weeken due to an errant punch by Ric Flair. Reports are stating that the incident happened because Flair forgot that he was wearing his hall of fame ring. There is said to be no backstage heat between the two due to the injury.
July 14, 2014
Daniel Bryan
While many are under the impression that he is temporarily holding the WWE Championship until Daniel Bryan can return from a serious neck injury, word coming out of backstage is that John Cena is expected to have a lengthy title reign. Management wants people to believe that his 15th title reign is very important, so they might keep the belt on him a long time to emphasize that.
July 12, 2014
Daniel Bryan
By now, everyone should know that WWE has plans on pushing Roman Reigns into the main event scene. However, not everyone knows that the original plan was not this accelerated. Management has decided to pull the trigger much quicker on the Reigns push because of the absence of Daniel Bryan, who is still indefinitely on the sideline due to a serious neck injury. There are some concerns backstage that Reigns could be ruined if the push is rushed too quickly.

Colt Cabana
"Comedy wrestling is not easy. Santino Marella is one of my favorite wrestlers to watch. sad he's leaving the ring, but happy he made me smile." - Colt Cabana on Santino Marella being forced to retire from WWE due to another neck injury
July 7, 2014
Santino Marella
During a WWE live event in Toronto, Santino Marella announced to the fans in attendance that he has decided to retire from professional wrestling as an in ring performer. He revealed that he has suffered yet another neck injury and has decided that it would not be safe for his long term health to keep wrestling. Since he recently signed a long term contract extension with WWE, there is a chance that Marella could remain with the company in another capacity.

Vince Russo
Anyone that has heard Jim Cornette speak over the last decade should already know that he absolutely hates Vince Russo. The former WWE manager routinely sways regular conversations into diatribes against Russo. Through Twitter, Russo offered to make pace with Cornette. As expected, though, Cornette wants nothing to do with that. He refuses to end the backstage heat between the two.

Jim Cornette
One of the biggest mysteries in professional wrestling involves Dennis Condrey and his decision to walk away from the Midnight Express. When asked about the situation, Bobby Eaton said that his former tag team partner basically left without saying a word to him for two years. Condrey reportedly did not inform Jim Cornette or the NWA, either.

Jim Cornette
While a lot of performers will say that they always wanted to be involved in the professional wrestling industry, Jim Cornette actually means it. The legendary NWA manager started working in the business when he was just 14 years old, serving as a photographer, ring announcer, magazine correspondent and as a public relations person.

Colt Cabana
"Yeah, a lot of people tweeted it towards me. I think he is entitled to his opinion. You can't fault people for having an opinion. Luckily for me, I've never been put in a position to hire and fire people, and he was in that position and he can't hire everybody. I'm one of the people that Jim Cornette didn't want. Obviously the people that he didn't want aren't going to be happy about it. That's life. I could hold a grudge, but I don't. I understand that you have to hire and you have to fire and the ones that you fire aren't going to be happy. It's about going on and moving on. Luckily, I've done way bigger and better things since leaving Ring of Honor. Maybe it was a mistake by them for letting me go, and maybe it wasn't if they're happy with the direction that they've gone. I don't hold any grudge against Jim. I'm almost kind of thankful that I was able to go on to better places in my career." - Colt Cabana addresses the backstage heat he has with Jim Cornette
March 21, 2014
Kevin Steen
During a recent interview, Jim Cornette was asked about his backstage heat with Kevin Steen. The longtime NWA manager stated that he was not sure why Steen hated him. Cornette did promote himself by stating that he was the one that got Steen a better contract, a long title reign in ROH and a few other perks.

Jim Cornette
While Jim Cornette managed to gain some attention recently by stating that he would accept a hall of fame induction from WWE, there is very little chance of the Midnight Express being given the honors. Management really does not feel that Bobby Eaton, Stan Lane and Dennis Condrey are marketable enough to their current fan base.
March 11, 2014
Dennis Condrey
Despite all of his issues with the company, Jim Cornette recently revealed in an interview that he would be open to a hall of fame induction for himself and the Midnight Express if WWE were to ask him. The belief is that the company would induct Bobby Eaton, Dennis Condrey and Stan Lane together if they decided to go that route.

"With Brock I'll be honest with you, he was getting paid about four or five times more than everyone else in the developmental programme because of who he was. You don't come across an athletic specimen like that who won the NCAA Heavyweight Championship everyday. However he was not a natural wrestling fan, not a natural wrestling student, he was a bit boring in the ring to be honest because he wasn't used to being a showman. Also for a world class athlete I didn't think he was trying five times as hard as his salary." - Jim Cornette discusses Brock Lesnar as a developmental wrestler
February 14, 2014
Ric Flair
"John came from California, we got him really early on in his career but you could tell he was a natural, I thought he would actually be this generations version of a Ric Flair. He was a heel then, and he was so cocky, arrogant and good looking he had the physique and the genetics, he could talk but they decided to go a different direction with him and he got over just as big on the other side." - Jim Cornette discusses John Cena as a developmental wrestler

Jim Cornette
While most fans have probably never even heard of him, Bobby Fulton did get a brief stint in WWE. It was during the summer of 1997 when he was given tryout matches against Tommy Rogers, whom he teamed with as the Fantastics. He stated that Jim Cornette used them to convince Vince McMahon to start a light heavyweight division.

Dixie Carter

"You know they are changing their website, you haven't heard about this? You haven't heard about TNA changing their website? Instead of TNAWrestling.com it is going to be TNAWrestling.org because it's a non-profit organization. Actually they have come up with a new strategy for 2014, Dixie Carter keeps teasing these big, major ideas. She finally hit on a genius idea that I think is going to turn TNA around in 2014. Starting on the first, they are going to let all of the fans in the shows for free and charge them to get out."

"Well, I would love to give you an opinion, but I am clean and sober from WWE programming for several years now, and I do read what is going on, but it seems like it's more of the same. In my opinion, he was never the star, he was always the guy that worked with the guy that drew the money, and he continues to push his boring self down the people's throats. You know, what more can I say, I haven't seen it first hand, but at least he got a haircut."
