With the real life incident of an airplane being shot down in war torn Ukraine, there are rumors going around that WWE may be forced to tone down the ongoing story line with Alexander Rusev and Lana. Since a lot of people died in the incident, the company may need to be sensitive to the public right now. Vince McMahon loves pushing the envelope, but with WWE struggling financially, now would not be the time for such a move.

Reports are stating that the incident happened because Flair forgot that he was wearing his hall of fame ring. There is said to be no backstage heat between the two due to the injury.

The incident took place as he was in the corner and receiving head butts from Wyatt. Some are speculating that one of the strikes was not nearly as protected as it should have been. The referee halted the match to have trainers check on Cena, who did manage to finish the match despite being in a lot of pain.

An independent wrestler sued Abdullah the Butcher for damages that he received during a match seven years ago, and the court has sided with him. A judge has declared that Abdullah must now pay Devon Nicholson $2.3 million in damages. Abdullah was accused of blading Nicholson during the match without his consent. Nicholson contracted Hepatitis C from the incident.

The belief is that this is being done to further the friction between Ambrose and Reigns.

During the Smackdown taping, Batista opened up the show and addressed the audience. Dolph Ziggler came out and issued a challenge. Batista laughs at him, so Ziggler gives him a drop kick.
