The tag team division in WWE is about to receive a bit of a boost. Jey Uso is close to making his return to the ring after spending several months recovering from a shoulder injury. His brother, Jimmy Uso, has been sparingly used because the creative department did not want to come up with new things for him to do during that time frame. A feud with New Day is highly likely.

When you attend a live event, more often than not, the good guy is going to win. WWE does that because they want to send the fans home happy. However, the move came as a bit of a shock when they allowed Jimmy Uso to beat Wade Barrett at a show in Germany. Barrett is the one receiving a push and working a title match at Extreme Rules, whereas Uso is floating around as a singles competitor because Jey Uso is injured.

Some good news and bad news for the Usos. The good news is that Jey Uso successfully underwent surgery to repair a lot of injuries to his body. The bad news is that he is now required to miss approximately six months of action. That means that their involvement in the tag team division has to be halted. WWE might still use Jimmy Uso as a singles performer, but he will more than likely be relegated to working low profile matches.

Since he is still injured, Jey Uso was told by WWE to stay home during the tour of Europe. They feel that it would be a better use of his time to get better instead of being protected during tag team matches. He was written off early at Wrestlemania, but management only made him work the match because it was the biggest pay per view of the year. Jimmy Uso is currently working as a singles performer on the tour.

In the opening match of the Wrestlemania kickoff show, Antonio Cesaro and Tyson Kidd managed to successfully retain the tag team championship in a match that also featured Big E Langston, Kofi Kingston, Diego, Fernando, Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso. Jimmy was written out of the match almost immediately because he is injured in real life. After several high spots, the match ended when Cesaro pinned Langston.

Since it is never a good idea in WWE to ruin plans at Wrestlemania, rumors are floating around that Jey Uso is going to attempt to wrestle at the pay per view. The belief is that the backstage agents are going to work the match around in a way where Jimmy Uso does most of the heavy lifting for the team. Fortunately for everyone involved, the match will consists of several competitors, so it should be easier to mask things.

With Wrestlemania being less than two weeks away, WWE might need to call an audible with one of the championship matches. Initially, the Usos were scheduled to be one of the teams that challenged Antonio Cesaro and Tyson Kidd for the tag team belts, but Jey Uso suffered some sort of shoulder injury during the latest episode of Smackdown. There is no timetable for his return yet. His brother Jimmy Uso worked live events by himself.

It looks like WWE will actually showcase their tag team championship at Wrestlemania this year. As of right now, there are plans penciled in to do a title match featuring four different teams. Management is still undecided about a championship scramble or a simple fatal four way. The rumored contestants for the match are Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Tyson Kidd, Antonio Cesaro, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, Big E Langston, Diego and Fernando.

For a while there, the belief was that WWE was going to throw several tag teams together and have them battling for the championship at Wrestlemania. However, it appears that the idea has been scrapped. The most likely scenario right now has Tyson Kidd, Antonio Cesaro and Natalya teaming up to take on Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso and Naomi in a mixed tag team match. The backup plan is to have the men do a traditional tag match.
